Elliot Anderson | Opening bid rejected (p189)

Get a bid in for him before the window closes, no point waiting till summer, too many passengers in this team as it is. The back up midfielders we have can’t even be trusted to play when Rodri or Nico G are absent.

we wont be int he CL places to get this lad if we carry on
We'll be fine without signing him in January. Forest are trying to right the ship and contend for the EL so they have absolutely no interest in selling one of their best players halfway through the season.

If we carry on playing the way we are we will f8nish outside tge top 4...meaning in the summer Anderson has more attractive alternatives

Jack Goughan has a daily mail article behind paywall saying we could accelerate a move for Anderson. Anyone know what he says?

It won't carry on because we just got Guehi and Semenyo in the door and Nunes, Gonzalez and Rodri will be fit on their own timelines. That solves the lineups we've been seeing in the last two games and allows us to properly rotate at the back and up top. We're still 7 points ahead of Liverpool who are in a worse place than we are.

We better hope he has some type of no European football release cluse or Forest gets relegated, because if not with him being under contract until 2029 this transfer fee will likely cost more then Grealish.

He will be 23, and an England regular coming off a World Cup run. My assumption is Forest won't make any deals until after WC is complete. As Tolmie said on twitter today.

Forest would be crazy to accept anything less then Enzo and Rice type money, unless he pulls an Isak an refuses to ever play for Forest again which would be against everything you hear about the lad the buying club would have no leverage.

We shall see how this plays out, but my guess is it will be incredibly difficult to get across the line with him being under contract until 2029.

I think they'll accept 80mil pounds.

Doubt we have the wiggle room with psr to pay for Anderson considering we had to negotiate for semenyo then paid for guehi.
I'm no PSR expert but in the summer I'd assume we're looking at some sales (Grealish, Ake, Akanji, Kovacic, academy players) as well as losing some wages in Stones and Ortega?

Forest will no doubt be looking for silly money, especially if Anderson has a good world cup. As always the consideration will be our valuation versus that of the selling club. We also need to consider funds for other areas - right back I'm looking at you!

Next summer Stones, Bernardo and Ortega will be out of contract. Ake and Kovacic will have one year left. Trafford will likely leave. We will try to move Grealish permanently and Akanji has a £15m option with Inter. Savinho may also leave.

If Trafford goes we’ll need a new keeper, we know we need a right back and we’re obviously targeting Anderson. Moving the above players on will free up a lot of space in terms of wages and should mean a reasonable net spend in the summer.

The big unknown is what do we do if Rodri doesn’t sign an extension…

Bobb going though is 100% profit for PSR? Akanji probably has nil balance now as will Ake if we can sell him so there should be wriggle room and i imagine that some of the younger players will go as well at all profit deals.

Yep Paqueta, when we lose Kovacic and Bernardo, we lose virtually all our experience at manipulating games, Anderson is a very good player, but he does not have the ability to hold the ball, like Grealish ,Kovacic or Bernardo, he does have the movement to cope with Reijnders work rate, so a midfield of Reijnders, Anderson and Paqueta is a big improvement, on Kovacic, Nico and Bernardo.
