PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I've posted this (or similar) before. Speculative yes, but I can't see the possibility of the outcome being published during the business end of the season suiting anyone; PL, City, broadcasters, sponsors, fans (the rational ones). Remember the PL is a brand and all participants depend on the continuing untarnished success of that brand. Sandwiching the announcement between the end of season and the start of the world cup will likely limit the level of attention and the impact. By the time the World Cup is underway, fans (other than RAWK Cultists and followers of the Magic nutter) will have something more interesting to think about. Similarly, I can imagine that a club other that City winning the PL and maybe an English club (again not City) winning the CL might also also help to distract attention. The only other better times to release the news might be if England get knocked out of the World Cup by some minnow team (like Scotland), if Germany beat Engalnd on penalties (again) or if England win the World Cup.

Remember when there used to be freebies attached to the front of magazines?
A few years ago, on shrooms with pals, i came up with the idea of rhyming magazine freebies...

So if you bought a copy of The Big Issue it would come with a freebie big tissue attached.

That's as far as we got with the idea. heigh ho.

Regardless, as I have also said the imminence of the verdict was and is as per the parties themselves. It certainly doesn't mean it is coming today or tomorrow and wasn't with the parties as of earlier this week.

I'll keep saying it is imminent until I am informed that the parties know it is not close because we are now in the zone when it is close on any rationale timeline. And because that is what my discussions tell me. Last reply on this point.

I think this is a playback by City.
All the evidence has been gone through by the panel and have arrived at the decision of not guilty.
You cannot insult our owners and their associates of cheating 115 times and think your gonna get away with it, so City hold all the cards and are waiting to see what the PL next move will be and I don't think they know what to do next.
Neither side will want damage to the PL brand so they really are in a bit of a pickle unless they come clean and admit a witchhunt and expose the guilty parties.
Some City fans get pissed off with being called cheats but really should know how to deal with the fuckwits by now.
If this turns out to be true theres going to be some big casualties, so it can run another year for me.

Not sure if you think I implied this, but whatever the case, I don't think City can be blamed the for the delay, if thats what it is. But I can imagine we'd prefer not to have to deal with an announcement while we're still competing for trophies.
