The Labour Government

Good on Burnham I say. Wont be a walkover there he isnt guaranteed to get in by a long chalk the Reform twats will make that a proper vote, if they get out of the pub long enough to go and cast a vote instead of sitting moaning about immigrants (translation: worrying about their benefits money being spread and at risk)

Worth noting that the Greens are polling really well here too:

Looks like it’ll be a genuine 3 way fight. I’m not Burnham’s biggest fan and Starmer doesn’t really do it for me so I’m going to have a choice to make between Labour and the Greens. I just hope I don’t pick the wrong one and Reform end up getting in

Well that is their major plan. Split the vote enough

Reform won't get in based on just your one vote, vote for which you think is best.

I’d expect Labour to get a fairly big boost given Burnhams popularity and he should attract a lot of disaffected Labour voters who were thinking of Green.

What’s WPB?

Needs to be Labour. Greens are the biggest frauds going. After Reform obvs!

Expect more "rule changes" where Keith will nick the standing orders of the tory 1922 committee and it will only be MPs allowed to chose the leader.
We know that Labour are a multitude of differences and it interests me to see how much they are willing to tear themselves apart instead of looking after the country.

On a lesser scale, is this a huge risk for Burnham? Doesn’t he have to resign from his mayoral role to stand? Is he guaranteed to win the seat in this current climate?

Burnham? Don't talk daft. He's only slightly more left leaning than Starmer.
Labour? My arse. Burnham only ever thinks about Burnham. If he was a true labour supporter he'd be standing shoulder to shoulder with Skier in this difficult global political maelstrom dropping soundbites and being "laser focussed" etc...

fucking me, me, me, me, me given the state of politics in the UK at the moment.

Steps down and risks a Reform publicity junket over the mayoralty because they will pump way more money into a campaign

May not get to stand

May not win the seat

If he does may not get a challenge to be PM if he does he faces a challenge from Starmer and Rayner - I'd expect Rayner to win

Loses, destabilises his Party and swaps a £114k job for a £94k job

Politically inept but massages his ego - its Hestletine of the 2020's but doesn't have the family fortune to fall back on.

Everton relegated just coz he's a ****

At least laser focussed Neville will see his opportunity for more power at the lord mayor's parade, spouting labour values whilst railroading his development company. Champagne socialism.

You called him a commie. In what world is he a commie? Labour has purged the left.
