The FOC thread.

As kids in fact into twenties I’d just spend hours in Rare Records in town plus Paper Chase HMV one in Denton was called Edison Gem just looking at LP covers and posters
I spent hours in Selectadisc notts. Which,at its height has 3 shops in town.id be in all of em.near enough every day
Then there was Robs records hurts yard and the legendary
Arcade records, where u could listen to and buy us imports
Brilliant times.

When I moved down to that London in 1981, I was packing up my stuff and found a Selectadisc credit note from the early 70s for about 20p.

Has anyone spotted the digital price tags in Aldi. They look like paper but can be changed in a second.

Pretty interesting in FOC world..

I saw the price of an item change before my very eyes (*with thanks to Arthur Askey) in Aldi. I thought I was hallucinating.

I asked one of the staff about it and they didn't have a clue what was going on. Their colleague had to explain the system to both of us.

We had one of these in our front room which I think me Mum won at bingo in Rhyl.

I was waiting for somebody to post the other classic - 'Wings of Love' (cliché status assured after featuring in Abigail's Party).

Picked up a second hand bargain today at a local car boot sale, a book entitled How to sharpen pencils.
Mine came free, with 'How to Read'... :-/

We had that very one. As I grew up in Worcestershire in the 60's and 70's I've always lazily assumed it explains my taste in women. There was definitely no-one that looked like that on our estate. Did you name her? We always called our painting Tina. Don't know how or why. There's an old David Jason sit-com (That I don't even remember) showing on one of the nostalgia channels lately that has one on the wall of there living room.

No name for her. Though I wish I still had it. If you zoom in on the price tag, that picture is going for £170.
