The FOC thread.

Yeah, I know of Billy J Kramer and the Dakotas. Little Children is probably their most famous hit.

Billy has recently released a new single, Go On Girl.
Little Children was the first single I ever bought rushed home one Saturday morning from the Record shop on Reddish Lane and played it on our PYE Stereogram
Think the B side was called They Remind Me Of You might check later it’s in the attic somewhere

The first five songs I can ever remember hearing
King of the Road - Roger Miller
Little Green Apples -Roger Miller
Penny Lane - The Beatles
Strawberry Fields - The Beatles
Puff the Magic Dragon - Peter,Paul and Mary.
I had older brothers who bought records by 50s rock and rollers like Elvis, Gene Vincent, Eddie Cochran, Jerry Lee Lewis etc.
Still love that stuff.

One of my earliest memories is going to the dogs home in Manchester somewhere to get a new dog after ours was killed by a car.
We were in my Dad's green Austin A40, it had a radio and I remember Frank Ifields song I Remember You playing. (Who remembers that).
It was raining heavily as well.

When Frank died, and I told Mrs Vienna, quick as a flash, she said, "I remember him".

Travelling. Back from the Chelsea home match I passed down Reddish Lane...I've always loved the area since the 80s
Didn't know there used to be a record shop on the lane, will have to ask my mate who lives close by about that.
What was it called ?
