The Squad planning thread

My imagined squad for next season depends on up to four new signings maybe some unrealistic departures. Along with Ortega, Bobb, Stones & Ake I'd like to see Reijnders, Savinho & Ait Nouri find pastures new but Bernardo to stick around together with (reluctantly) Lewis.


Donnarumma/Trafford
Nunes/new RB - Guehi/Dias - Gvardiol/Khusanov - O'Reilly/new LB;
Foden/ Bernardo - Rodri/Gonzales - Anderson/Wharton
Cherki/new FW - Haaland/Marmoush - Semenyo/Doku​

Reserves: Bettinelli, Lewis + EDS

Kitt would be a splendid acquisition too.

Highly unlikely that we’d wash our hands on the best part of 80 million after one season.
Following two seasons of substantial fluctuation, we arguably need a summer and then season of minimal change. Two midfielders in, welcome Reis back, and bid adieu to Silva, Stones, Ake, Kovacic, Phillips, and Ortega.
 
Offer Madrid the £20m fee they gave him for signing take it or leave it if you want rid. A REALLY pissed off Trent coming bavk
To the premier league with something to prove especially against the dippers may actually work! Erling would feast on his delivery.

Personally I wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire, he's done and said too much in the past about our club to go anywhere near the ****.

RAN has played 419 minutes this season and he’s been written off. In case you didn’t know that’s approx. 4.66 90s. Less than five games. Reijnders I agree with but I’m inclined to giving Savio a bit more time.

I had great expectations for RAN but those 400 minutes have unfortunately demonstrated he can't defend nearly so well as he can attack. It was most unfortunate to get a bad injury in his first home game and the cameos since have shown some lovely stuff going forward but virtually nothing of the defensive qualities needed at the back - specifically with our high line these include recovery pace and aerial ability. He's currently a poor fit in our system and moving on would benefit him and us I think.

I don’t believe that he’s a poor defender. We’ve seen him play 90mins at RB where none of the goals came down his side. The high line is only an issue when Dias plays. He’s too slow and gets turned easily by any remotely decent striker. Good box defender though.
 
Pep Lijnders also LOVES Trent so there may genuinely be at least a solid interest in this if it’s a cheap price or la with an option in the summer
