Seat Counters 25/26

Of course. It’s fairly normal to have some away fans in the home end, but not to the extent that happened against say Celtic. Groups of away fans openly celebrating, singing and goading the home fans - unless you think that’s normal?
I think that's the point. There are always some away fans at home sections at every match. I have done it myself scores of times over the years at high demand away matches. But the unwritten law is keep your head down and don't take the piss. Most fanbases keep to that rule and I have had many positive experiences with opposition fans. Celtic were an exception at the CL game and a pre-season game at the Etihad and occasionally a few Liverpool fans. You may get the odd skirmish but it is not generally a problem. I am hopeful it will be ok tomorrow. We have no history with Gala and I have been told by Gala fans that the two PL teams they totally despise are LFC and MUFC. That's at least one thing have in common. We just need to make sure no one plants a Besiktas or Ferenbache flag in the centre circle!

All sorts of issues but judging from some of the posts, the common themes can appear quite contradictory

We've turned our back on the hardcore support, but many of the older supporters cite transport hassle as the main reason for non attendance

The tickets are too expensive apart from when we played Exeter and they were so cheap that some of the cup scheme members just took the hit and couldn't be arsed attending

We've alienated the next generation of fans, whilst also struggling to fill the ground for evening matches, because so many Seasoncard holders are young families and have other priorities

Too many tourists and casual supporters, but thousands of unsold tickets when their access is restricted

Amazing that despite all this negativity the average attendance has virtually doubled in the last 25 years
About time we had some common sense. The demographic of our fans is changing and some people don't like it. It is how the world works.

Don’t like late kick-off games because of the appalling public transport in Manchester. I will drag myself to League matches and FA Cup ties but no way am I doing League Cup and Chumps.
Oh god, don't say "Chumps League". That used to make me cringe when it was used on here. I thought it had died out when we won the thing.

For Fulham at home Wed Feb 11th, you can get an adult and 2 kids for £51 in the SS3 Fulham returns section.
It's a midweek in winter, against unglamorous opposition, but they can't really sell them a whole lot cheaper...the demand simply doesn't seem to be there. I hope they know what they're doing with the North stand extension...they generally are ahead of the game, so maybe they know something we don't.
BTW, if you're not sitting in the Fulham returns section then it's £88 for the same 3 seats in CB3, or £159 in 93:20!

They're really gonna need to reconnect with us...so if we do get a glamour UCL QF against say Barcelona, how about selling the seats to the people who showed up against Brighton and Fulham and Exeter and Salford......chances of that happening...zero. Barca attendees would be the usual first timers, youtubers, TikTokers, Barca fans, event junkies, corporates, etc. And then they wonder why we stop bothering with the crap games..

Looks like level 3 off sale for Newcastle now so they can fill the lower tiers.

The club are selling £30 tickets for Fulham in the returned seats in SS3 - there are 918 left! If the club aren’t worried about that then they should be. Clearly it’s not just a pricing matter. It’s disengagement and silly rules that have turned occasional fans away.
Unfortunately, its not just occasional fans the clubs turning away, so many old school blues I know have either fucked it off or talking about this being their last season. I also see a lot of comments on here about old schoolers calling it a day. Its criminal what these idiots are doing.

Tickets remaining for League Cup Semi-Final 2nd Leg v Newcastle. 9 days to go until the game and selling about a couple of hundred tickets a day. Likely about 10k empty seats for it - attendance of about 42k as Newcastle will have sold out their 6,500 allocation

Level 0: 4,316 - some 3rd party sellers have obviously returned tickets to the club.

Level 1: 3,466

Level 3: estimated 4,245 as Level 3 is now greyed out since Monday afternoon.

Total: 12,027 tickets left
Only 32 tickets sold since 10am this morning.

Newcastle only received 5,359 tickets so that's just over 1k off your estimated figure.
The whole of level three for us should have been £20 for adults and £10 for kids. Tickets would have flown out.

I think getting rid of this membership nonsense for transfers would help. Some people will just say no when it comes to forking out £30 or whatever it is for a membership. They'd probably pay the £30-40 for a match ticket here or there but won't fork out the £60-70 when you combine it with membership.

It's something most of the top clubs have in place. I think at Arsenal you pay and even then you could go a whole season without getting a chance to get a ticket. It's just not something we've ever seen before and we're not comfortable with it nor is it justified based on how many tickets are remaining unsold.

Club need to make sure the NS in its majority is for new season tickets.

Nearly ever match going fan on this forum will have been in the away end at a ground on one or more occasions.
Indeed. Numerous times, but I have never worn any colours, never sung any City songs, never celebrated City scoring, never goaded the home fans around me or just generally wound them up on any way whilst being there.

And the Liverpool one first half. In fact quite a few of the biggest ones. But these group games are always awful. I hate foreign chanting and I hate the way it drowns out our fans.
Turkish fans are a bit like Russian fans where they sing in as deep as voice as they can possibly put on and it’s usually wildly out of tune, like tone deaf out of tune.

At Arsenal you pay £36 per season just to get access to the ballots for home tickets where you have around a 10% chance of getting lucky. If you pay for membership for a certain number of years you get promoted to a higher tier where your chances increase to around 40%.

I thought you were known for being in the Stretford End in your sky blue Mankini

The fact they have had to implement this and people have bought into it shows how stark the difference is between our match going fanbase and theirs. The club need a huge rethink.

I was thinking the same thing
No criticism of the original poster, but I'm not even sure what's meant by "the face value pages".
Me neither, sounds a right pain in the arse buying a ticket of someone you don't know, and then being uncertain if it will work until you actually get through the turnstile.

Anyone looking for a last minute ticket for tomorrow.

Seat Unique have tickets in 1894 bar for £40.

You do need City purchase history before anyone asks! :-)
