City bus scheme for home games

I have put this suggestion forward a few times but the demand has been to low for the distance. You could always try getting local supporter clubs to gather interest and if the numbers were reasonable, I could try and push it again for you! :)
How do you know about the demand if the service hasn't atleast been tried?

We receive lots of requests from supporters about different areas/stop locations, and we review these alongside season ticket postcode data to identify where large numbers of fans are travelling from. We operate the routes on behalf of Manchester City, so any changes need the clubs approval. That’s why I suggested gathering interest from anybody else you know would benefit from the service as this would help me demonstrate the level of demand.

@matchdaybus I’ve been tasked with asking a question, on Saturday the mc13 bus was rammed even people standing upstairs, some wanted to get on the mc14 to take make the return journey back to Royton/shaw as it had loads of seats, the driver on mc14 said they’d have to pay for the return journey again even though they’d already paid for a return on mc13. Is there anyway to make the ticket transferrable?
I have spoken with the operator now and advised them that anybody with an MC13 return ticket travelling to Shaw/Royton can use their ticket on MC14 to travel to Shaw/Royton. They asked me to pass on their apologies for Saturday and have said they will ensure drivers are informed so you shouldn't have this issue again.

Great thanks for the quick reply :)

I caught the train into Piccadilly before the game and returned via Matchday Bus 7

Everything ran smoothly and I got home at 11:15 whereas it would have been around midnight if I'd caught the only available train.

Excellent Service
Getting home early at this time of year is always a bonus!

Good evening, I just wanted to let you know there is a bus stop closure at Armentieres Square, Stalybridge that will impact those of you who use MC3. The works will be ongoing until August. The alternative stop in the meantime will be High Street/Forester Drive and will depart at the usual time. We apologise for any inconvenience.

You mean Forester Drive

Note to those reading this

It’s the bus stop next to Gorse Hall Primary School in front of of the flats

Apologies, typo! Thanks for flagging!

I have updated my original post to avoid confusion

I've just got off M15 and asked what happens if the game goes to penalties. Driver said his departure time was 10.20 so it seems the prospect of penalties hadn't been factored into the timetable l. Can you clarify please?

Hello, no they have to wait until 25 minutes after final whistle. I will speak to my colleague on the ground now and make sure the driver is aware. Don’t worry I’ll get this sorted - enjoy the game!

Thanks but it looks like we won't need pens! But everyone who heard wouldn't now stay for pens to risk missing it.
