He holds his own in comparison to other top performing PL midfielders

And he definitely holds his own in comparison to Europe's elite in a counter attack system with limited possession.

I’d like to believe that! How come after all this time you seem suddenly semi ITK? Or have you finally gone insane ;-)

Random conversation led to talking to Bobby Manzi who is a Crystal Palace fanatic and their main journo? Trust me mate, defo not even close besides getting a few texts now every now and then when i ask him to ask around stuff for me? The Guehi transfer happened as quick as it did suddenly when Viana told him he wasnt waiting any longer and then said he was moving on and the player then informed his team to get it done asap and then it happened. He then also mentioned that we were taking the piss by then approaching Brentford same day about a price for Kayode?

So you don’t really know that there is a release clause for Anderson more of a hope?

He is the best that is attainable.

Top Statistical Performers (U26)
  • Declan Rice (Arsenal, 27)Age 27 as of Jan 2026, but consistently featured in U26-led rankings for the 25/26 season. He is statistically the most dominant all-rounder, leading the Premier League in pass success rate (97.1%) and ranking as the world's best for combining physical dominance with technical production (passing, carrying, and goals).
  • Vitinha (PSG, 25) – The highest-rated central midfielder according to several statistical models for early 2026. He recorded 3 assists and a 94.5% pass accuracy in the opening half of the 2025/26 season, excelling in composure and precision.
  • Pedri (Barcelona, 23) – Ranked as the #1 midfielder in the world by ESPN for 2025/26 based on vision and creativity metrics. He averages 2.6 key passes per 90 with a 93% pass accuracy.
  • Elliot Anderson (Nottingham Forest, 23) – The season's "leap" player statistically. He leads Europe's Big Five leagues in the 2025/26 season for duels won (266) and possession recoveries (273). He is one of only two players in Europe this season to complete over 70 progressive passes while making more than 30 tackles/interceptions.
  • Enzo Fernández (Chelsea, 25) – A high-drive midfielder with strong statistical output in the 2025/26 season, recording 4 total goal contributions (3G, 1A) and 1.2 key passes per 90 in the first half of the campaign.
  • João Neves (PSG, 21) – Statistically the most valuable young midfielder, with an "APE Strength Score" of 93.3. He is recognized as an elite ball-winner and recycler, ranking among the world's top 10 central midfielders by late 2025.

Imagine how good we’d be now if we’d paid anything it took to get Rice.

From what I have been told, Anderson has a release clause which is active in the summer for a champions league club. Anyone else can try but would have to pay more if they aren’t in the champions league. £75m has been mentioned but obviously that’s only from fishing for info rather than concrete fact. Release clause is 100% there though.

How difficult would be getting Neves out of PSG or Pedri out of Barcelona. And i ask this with all seriousness.

For Pedri I think the player would be the greater stumbling block as La Masia graduates in general don’t want to move out of Spain. Even Basque players.

Neves - can 100 million pounds and Bernardo wages plus phone call from Pep suffice for PSG to agree. We can even lure him with a promise of Enrique after Pep so it’s all comfortable for him.

Pedri isn’t La Masia but I’m pretty sure his whole family are Barca fans. He also has a €1bn RC.

Would have been perfect to get him this month
Don't think it would've been feasible. Forest wouldn't want to sell one of their best players when they're in a relegation scrap since and the player may not want to change clubs with a World Cup in 6 months when he's pretty much guaranteed a move in the summer anyway.
