Media discussion - 2025/26

Prepare your excuses for the empty seats.

The answer is from the Sales Criteria:

"Existing Cityzens Matchday and Junior Members (as of Wed 27th Aug 2025) who have purchased 3+ home fixtures at the Etihad Stadium.

However, we will then have to explain the empty seats for the Newcastle United 2nd leg semi-final.

I am afraid that City's support is breaking. I blame 115, and the internet. Everyone is atomised now, and it takes significant mental strength not to be broken by the propaganda.

We should employ that Karoline Leavitt as press secretary / rep

I'm not praising or defending her in any way, but she has certainly got her orange boss' back and she doesn't take any shit

That is the kind of people we need against the media onslaught. Some proper hard nosed attack dogs who don’t even have to give a shit about football but know everything about libel and slander and exactly how to shut any fucker up that disrespects their client.

The chutzpah of the DF knows no bounds. In an article they demand that Roy Keane should be removed from punditry on United matches as he has a lazy, bitter agenda towards Carrick. I wonder why they don't employ that criteria with some of their journalists

But none of that happened, doesn't that negate your argument? Unless you think it's fixed and blatant corruption in our favour of course.
It didn't happen because Silky scored again. They also disallowed his third. It doesn't negate the point at all, refs can only do so much to influence the desired outcome, but there comes a point if perfectly good goals are scored they can't find suitable enough ludicrous reasons to disallow that their influence wanes....but if they have done their 'job' properly it can seriously affect the way a game plays out.

Biased in our favour? To quote Del Boy Trotter - Mon Dieu Rodney. You really must be having a laugh..... Have you been reading/ watching too much msm because after all most of their deluded sheep muppet fan readers/ viewers subscribe to that frankly ridiculous viewpoint?

I am at risk of being banned. I dislike Keane intensely, but of the pundits he is one of the very few who does have a valid opinion occasionally. I'll get my scarf and rattle.....Taxi.

My missus does. It actually annoys her. She may be bias though as I am teh perfect catch after all. An Arsenal supporting friend does too but he said "you deserve it as you are rich and spend a lot of money".
Your Arsenal mate has absolutely zero self awareness in relation to his chosen club!!

I can’t tell if that last paragraph is serious or not.

Your last paragraph.

I agree with you but there is something we can all do about it. Stop buying and listening to the press/media.

The only way I know what's being said or written is on here.

Life is so much better when you ignore the press/media

Get a grip before you become brain washed by this forum.

What's the issue here?
City logo is much smaller than rags in the Fail, and also smaller than all the other circular badges - compared with the one in the Sun - you;d make them all the same size wouldn't you? Unless you're a tosser working for a tosser company

Sorry but when you work in the Media/PR there is no such thing as a holiday. You are on call 24/7 and depending on your level you are paid handsomely for it. It's crisis management. I don't know whether you have ever worked worked for an American company but their view is they own you body and soul. More than happy to call you at home day or night. Time difference means jack shit to them
Totally agree. Forget the public sector, but if you’re in the private sector and you’ve a senior job and your CEO wants something (not always even a crisis !) they’ll contact you - holiday or not - and not think twice about it. It’s expected you deal with it and that’s why you’re paid well. Comms/Media/PR is especially demanding and those people know the score and what’s involved. American business culture is fucking brutal - long business conf calls/meetings at silly o’clock.

Of course not, the 2nd sentence was said in jest but it's seems to have gone over your head. I don't read most of the MSM at all. You seem angry today?

I'm not with fellow and girl blues, I'm perfectly OK ta. The media wind me up every time, so I do my best to avoid. However,I happened on a copy of Mondays Fail when we were on a hospital appointment, Ian "Grubby Club" Herbert sends me apoplectic every time, so maybe there is a media annoyance hangover! And of course I watched Peps presser yesterday, he was on absolute fire, but those amoebic no brain cell leeches were at their absolute attempting to be provocative worst.

Hey, so maybe you're right!!

So right. You sound like you have the t-shirt and dvd. X

Of all the papers you could have picked up it had to be The Fail ;)

They're just cogs of the same wheel.
They rehearse the narrative before delivering it from the Sly studio.
Neville and Carragher could be married, they're that close these days in delivering their city hate
The fact that those two hate us and make it clear and obvious, is a good thing in my view. After all, everyone who’s not a rag or dipper knows they are biased and horrible cunts, so won’t take anything negative they say about us seriously.

I used to have to sit on European Conference Calls where each country gave their market reports. They used to go on for hours and often totally irrelevant to our situation. I could never understand why the Americans who never forgot to tell you how good/efficient they were never reconciled this situation
