I thought I was almost certain that there would be more goals, that Gala would score. Osimhen was dangerous, but as a team they didnt create that much. Thats probably connected to the fact that our defence played very well overall,
I dont agree that we were poor in the second half. We played smart, because there simply wasnt the energy for an all-out high tempo, and at the same time we had several, if not a dozen, chances to kill the game off. It was often down to small mistakes and a lack of precision. Phil alone, if hed been in form, could have been involved in or scored a few goals himself. The same goes for Marmoush or Reijnders.
Ait Nouri is my man of the match. Cherki, Khusanov and O’Reilly come next. The only strange thing is that Ait Nouri played the full 90 minutes, he deserved to start against Spurs, and I hope he does.
