Bbc 10pm news just on and their champions league coverage had a guy at the Etihad .. showed Haaland's goal and told us that City had qualified for the play offs! Briefly mentioned that 5 English teams also did well. Compare that to TNT. I know cos I couldn't find their channel to watch our bloody game so for my sins ended up watching their goals show extra...completely ignored us! Big coverage of the other English teams however . Great finish to Benfica v Real Madrid game tho, made my night when the keeper scored that last gasp goal. lol
they must of mentioned all games behind red button

Just applying for a job writing for BBC sport, here's my first attempt, I just need to find where to put the obligatory spelling mistake:

Erling Haaland missed an open net in the opening minutes as Manchester City toiled without much success against a visibly visible Galatasaray side. On a night where Liverpool scored six on another famous European night under the Anfield floodlights, the Norwegian striker and co. could not match the attacking passion and effort of their sticky fingered rivals.

The Turkish team, passionately driven on by large travelling support, which at times could be heard, claimed a significant victory by qualifying for the champions league playoffs, at the expense of their extravagantly spending Arab rivals.

Although some may question the morality of filling the coffers of a team many would argue are only in the competition because of significant spending, the Galatasaray fans will return home happy with the result, knowing Manchester City fielded a team so expensive they were forced to relegate recent signings Marc Guehi and Antoine Semenyo not even to the bench, but in fact into the stands.

Having lost already in this competition to Leverkusen and Bodo Glimt, City were keen to avoid a third defeat but started poorly with Haaland missing in the early stages, something that will bring into question both his commitment to remaining in Manchester, and his enormous wage, especially given the current situation in Gaza and the human rights record of the UAE. With Gianluigi Donnarumma already refusing to commit to staying beyond this season, the concerns are mounting for Pep Guardiola's side.

One bright spot of note for spurs, who also qualified tonight, is the withdrawal of Doku through injury which may rule him out at the weekend. Given the Belgian winger's comments on diving recently, some will be wondering if karma played some part as he took a heavy knock to the leg after goading the opposition unnecessarily, by playing well.

Questionable tactics were the order of the day for the blue side of Manchester, with Pep Guardiola taking advantage again of a stoppage in play to talk to his team. Given it is not the first time the City boss has deployed such tactics, it remains to be seen whether a fine and touchline ban are handed out by uefa, especially as the incident was caught on multiple cameras (insert several stills of the offence here, also a link to our latest article on migrant boats). Unfortunately VAR could not get involved, but it is suggested the football lawmakers will be seeking to address this loophole at their next meeting.

City now face the embarrassment of a loss of gate receipts from no champions league football at all in February. Given the imminent decision on the 115 charges, it is not unfeasible that this was Pep Guardiola's last champions league game in charge of Manchester City.

Attention now turns to the return of the Premier
League this weekend, with Manchester United entertaining Fulham at the Theatre of Half -Hearted Protests. Head over to our Manchester United page to find out how the red devils can finish this season with silverware, or click here to find out why Beto thinks Michael Carrick should be offered the job full time.

Want to get involved? Send us a message and, unless you're a city fan, we'll put it up for you. Especially if it defames mcfc in any way.
You've got the job. It was doubtful though until you mentioned Man United.

I asked Grok for what it’s worth…
