Kalvin Phillips

We offered him a once in a lifetime contract and wages , not surprised he’s chilling it out to be honest. Could still move on a fee when the time comes , get a nice signing on fee and £50,000 a week somewhere!

But he's not getting the Sterling treatment, having to train on his own.
I've seen him appearing in some training and 5 a side videos.
Very strange situation.

I didn’t realize he was training away from the group mate? I don’t like that to be honest

Sorry, I meant he is not training on his own.
I have seen him in videos and he seems to be getting on well with the group which makes it all the weirder that he doesn't even get near the squad when we were down tonm our bare bones

Sorry mate, read that wrong! That’s afternoon after meeting drinking for you!!

Vanished off the face of the earth again this lad. How soul destroying must it be knowing that no clubs worldwide are interested in signing you. I reckon we're stuck with him until his contract ends

That is not Pep's style. He likes Philips, just prefers to play pretty much any other player available. Philips will know this. It's up to him and his agent to find a better option in terms of getting game time. If that comes with less wages then it's not an easy decision, easy for fans to think it's a no brainer.

I don’t think any move will come with less wages, I expect City would make up any difference just to move him on

His problem is that everyone saw him when he played for West Ham and Ipswich and he was shite!
