Maybe not the most popular opinion, but I think we should rest some players and not pick the "strongest 11" at all times. Rotation will be very important with the relentless schedule. Saving the legs of Rodri for example.
Donnarumma
Nunes Khusanov Guehi Ait-Nouri
Nico G Nico OR
Cherki Reijnders Semenyo
Haaland
Marmoush, Rodri, Foden, B. Silva and Lewis being obvious substitutes. Without proper rotation going forward I struggle to see us competing on all fronts. It will hurt team cohesion somewhat, but is necessary to get the job done. I see a lot of pundits say that Bodø Glimt's merits in the Champions League are greater due to the team being in off season. Disagree. They had a 3 week break, then started training lightly. Then 2 normal training weeks with 2 training games against ok opposition scoring 4 goals in each of them. They had mental focus and belief in the tactical approach towards the last 2 games and won them. That level of focus could easily be lost when competing on all fronts without rotation.
