These players need to take a good look in the mirror.
The effort and application is not good enough.
The effort and application is not good enough.
Said that in the match day.
They showed the goal but not the contentious build up and possible offside.
Still only 6 points in it and they are supposedly to be better than us. Not convinced they are good enough on all fronts. The league isn't that strong to be honest and everyone is capable of beating each other on any occasion. They will still have to priortise.
I can see that. Might explain why the team are struggling for leadership when they’re not getting from the coach.I'm convinced he's gone this summer and the players know it. Performances are like those we got 10 years ago with a team treating the manager like a supply teacher.
"negativity"...deary me...perish the thought, especially on a bloody forum....how awfulHe's been at it since the day he joined the forum. It's quite noticeable you know. Constant drip drip of fucking negativity, just so happens after today it's warranted.
Great points. Pep has earned the right to decide his own destiny but we have been poor for at least 18 months now and he has to take some accountability for thatOnce we went 0-2 up on them, I thought we'd go on and get another 3 to be honest. They were absolutely dreadful and we were in complete control. They couldn't get the ball, didn't try much and were already beaten.
I cannot understand what Pep says at HT sometimes - Spurs couldn't have come out and played worse and they had nothing to lose. We went out thinking we'd won that game and put as little effort in as we could. In the end, Spurs could've had 4 goals and it took something special from Donnarumma. If we'd had Ederson in net today, we'd have been slapped.
In past seasons, I could understand why we were sometimes trying to save energy - we had a decent crack at winning the lot. This team will be very lucky to win any trophies this season. We cannot win the PL, FA, CC and CL this season. We have to pick and choose because the squad is not good enough, we have too many old players and players who cannot play the system he wants to play.
Quite simply, playing the high line and having a midfield which doesn't attack or defend well kills this team. If Dias, Gvardiol, Stones, Ake etc struggle with it then so will any other defender let alone Khusanov, Alleyne etc. It's complete suicide.
We also are playing a system which makes one of the greatest strikers who's ever lived into a bit part. Either he scores 2 goals in a game or he does fuck all and we might as well not play him. Pep HAS to figure this out. He might complain about recruitment but Guehi, Cherki and Semenyo are plenty good enough in this league.
I'm getting a bit fed up with Pep now. This has been going on for 18 months and we're no closer really to figuring out out best XI or the system to play which works with our players. If he can't do that, the board have to ask him some heavy questions. I don't think his heart is in it anymore to be honest. He has been one of the most incredible, revolutionary managers English football has seen but his recent teams are boring to watch and easily beaten.
I don't really know what we do next, I suspect we will win some and lose some and finish top 4. It's just really frustrating to watch football like today - we purposely played in a way that made us far worse and that's on Pep.
And that’s totally on our manager/coach, our tepid sideways passing is a disgrace to watch & that’s pep’s fault, 2-2 tonight & we made about 89 sideways passes in injury time, a fuckin unfunny joke of a 2nd halfThat’s the worst 11 Spurs have ever put out in the Premier League era. Any top 10 side would have put 5/6 past them.
They were there for a taking and we decided to pass the ball sideways.
It’s unacceptable
Simon23 reminds me of a Rag who comes in when everybody is irate about decisions and tells them that they are wrong, then laughs away at the replies he gets. He's being grappled by two defender.
He's positioned where the ball is heading.
He's held and he can't jump.
Why should he still attempt to get to the ball whilst being disadvantaged?
He, as we are told, "had every right" to go down in order to force the ref to react; so fucking what if he "threw himself to the ground". He's not the first and he won't be the last to exaggerate the foul, but it's still a foul.
He didn't initiate the contact, they held him.
It's not a kick or a slap or any other sort of foul that happens in an instant. It's being held. By two blokes, before, during and after the ball is in play. Did the ref blow to stop the corner and address the contact before the ball was in play? No he fucking didn't.
It's a foul and it's a penalty, pal.
Learn the fucking basics ;)
(anyway, some very talented people are about to make pottery on TV and I need to calm down, so I'm going to watch that and try to forget about this shit-show of a match, have fun gas-lighting people with you "knowledge" whilst I'm away)
He'd be better off starting his position on the edge of the 18 yard boxHaaland throws himself to the ground...the holding was before...test contact does not make a 6foot 5 human fall over....he was playing for it and deservedly got nothing
If they play with the intensity they did v Newcastle they will absolutely muller us mate. We are not equipped to handle intensity. We’ve seen it about 10x now this season.I don't know . We are due a win there at some stage. Let's hope it is next week.
oh please stfu about the refs. everyone on here. they are not biased theres no agenda and they would have checked the offside. we used to get tons and tons of bollocks penalties at home when sterling would run into the box get touched and fall over.Yep, it looked offside to me too, but we were never gonna get any decisions today ....
Nobhead and bellend I like keep up the good work@willcap

You absolute bellend pmsl.
Don't think you'll be on here much longer.
See ya nobhead.
Neville banging on about how bad the defence is - I don’t have a problem with the defence as individuals, it’s those up front that are doing fuck all.
Haaland was rubbish
Ait-Nouri is shite, we always get worse when Rijnders comes on and we didn’t have a shot in the second half.
Just so slow and weak
So said Neville, it was shown again in the analysis but no lines were shown this time either, and it did not look to me that Ait Nouri played him onside - maybe it was shown later, but not showing the lines at the time stinksAit Nouri played him on by not keeping the line.
That’s it mate.We have to be honest here.
Pep’s style isn’t working anymore. We are very predictable and we can only thrive when the tempo is slow and we are in control.
For me, he’s run his course and we need a change. He isn’t going to change. So the club has to.
I don't think anyone wants him sacked and if they do, they need to give their head a wobble. You don't sack a legend and Pep IS a legend. If he goes, it should be at the end of the season when he can be given a send off he fully deserves.ATM in my head I'd prefer him to stay and see how we adapt with a fully fit and firing squad but for the first time I wouldn't put up too much of an argument if he was to call it a day. Certainly not sacked like some suggest, but at the end of the season so he walks with some dignity and hopefully a trophy or two.
It's my opinion which you and others will not agree with, fine by me. But you pull virtually every post of my mine up, others are equally as critical but you seem to avoid themNah, I'll stay where I am and call your constant shit out thank you.
