He'd be better off starting his position on the edge of the 18 yard box

All he does is stand in the 6 yard box which results in a shit load of wrestling which normally leads to a foul against us, or just a messy 6 yard box

Tbh I cant even remember the last time he scored direct from a corner or free kick anyway
Agree, just discussed exact same thing

I can’t watch Solanke, albeit he’s a good player, score back heels at one end and out 9 year 500k a week striker stand there like piffy at the other
That might be a reductive position but that’s what I’ve been reduced to.

If he’s starved of service then how do the strikers at West Ham, Brighton, Spurs etc get on? They make things happen - even that cart horse at United has started scoring. Hope is not a strategy, doing is! Also, when the ball does go up to him, he doesn’t hold it up anyway
Shite!
In a dominant well functioning team that creates chance after chance he WAS fantastic.

Saddest thing is I can’t remember the last time I enjoyed watching us
Weirdly I feel exactly the same

My seat is only £450 for the season but I'm wondering whether I'd enjoy the Saturday golf comps more.....

Feels like I was stood at the Attaturk witnessing the end.... It doesn't get much better than that (especially after my Porto weekend was ruined)

I don't agree with you, I've read your your posts on the subject and you're entitled to think that way but his speech and today's performance aren't linked in any way whatsoever.

Pep is or was a winner ? you saying it's not Pep

Look, Pep is untouchable, rightly so with his record at City, but winners don't become comfortable at losing or taking 2nd best from their players. We are not talking about 6 to 10 games here, it will be nearly 2 seasons and some very bad performances and not all down to injury crises

The team today was just about the best starting 11 we have had for 2 years, We were 2.0 up to Spurs and their fans were turning on them, and we dont come out ??

Pep should be locking the dressing room door and not letting anybody out until midnight ? even in the post match interview, sorry i would be spitting and screaming ? We are talking about a team 2nd in the title race with a chance to go 4 points behind and you roll over

Funny you say that...

My daughters football training is back this Wednesay night for the start of the new season...

I said to her today, do you want to miss training and watch City instead? She replied "I want to go training, I'm glad I'm missing the City game"...

Normally she wouldn't miss a City game at all, even if the EDS is playing she'd watch it.

This is exactly how I feel after nearly every game, the way we play is dreadful. We need a new manager and a new approach before this season is dead and gone.

Is that fair? If he does go who do you get? That's why the club needs to prepare. At least if he feels he is failing there's no point in staying on until Summer because the players will spot that and major fail will follow. That lead needed good game management today but we didn't get it did we? So , I see your main point but it is worth losing him right now? If he stays until the end of the season with full commitment and energy we might win something . It just feels as if he wants to go but just cannot bring himself to say it .
I’m just bored of it, I’m not arsed about the “be careful what you wish for brigade”. I’m not so self entitled as to expect to keep winning stuff, I just want a change as I’m fed up with the same dross week in week out.
