Seat Counters 25/26

Newcastle Wednesday - a poor turn out for a semi final. Probably our best chance of winning a pot this season. Everyone will want a final ticket though!
I'm not sure everyone will want a final ticket.
4.30pm kick off
Sunday
Piccadilly Station closed
I am going to the semi but why would I want go to a shit hole that I can't easily get back from?
I'm sick if being taken for granted by those running the shit show.

Agreed, yet another 4.30 ko in London for a final. It's bad enough trying to get home from a normal PL game that finishes around 18.30 with only 3k away fans, it's even worse from Wembley due to the sheer numbers plus you have to factor in extra time and pens. In that case the game is finishing at around 7.15 - 7.30 and even if you leave right on the final whistle you are looking at a train back from Euston at around 8 at the earliest. We would have a choice of four trains back, the last of which leaves Euston at 21.49 arriving back in Stockport at 12.39am if on time. Granted it's more choice than normal but it's far from ideal.

Instead of showing PL games that day, just have the Cup final on with an earlier ko.

I already know I can’t go to the final :(

League Cup Final Tickets are generally a hell of a lot cheaper than FA Cup final ones. Eg £75 for Cat 3 in bottom tier, £125 for the same seat for the FA Cup Final.

Throw it open to Members etc and itll sell out "if" we get there. As I simply dont trust this team at the moment Im not entirely confident we will if Im honest. Newcastle get the first goal and theres a genuine chance we will shit our keks.

To add to this, we really have spent the last half a decade telling the club to stop alienating and pricing out their core fan base, or they'll pay the price.

Now that they are paying the price for it, we've got people blaming the fans????? Absolutely astonishing to me.
Yep. I said previously a year/18 months, but you're probably right, its been longer than that.

The club have alienated loads of semi casual fans and made it cost prohibitive to many. They have actively forced fans to buy memberships (when they already know individuals purchase history), so it has nothing to do with safety. And anyway, you can get any ticket you want if you are willing to pay via viagogo etc. It stinks and is bad for the long term good of the club.

Hopefully after the embarrassment of the upcoming Semi Final, they'll be a shift in strategy. Wont hold my breath like...

Generally get a few more tickets iirc for a LC final. Like you say, got to get there first.

The club can certainly take some blame in all this, but I do think we're seeing a lot of fans throw in the towel a bit too easily. We've been blessed to witness more success than we ever dreamt possible. But we've climbed the mountain and sat on top for a long period and I think many are burnt out now. Victims of our own success in many ways. The energy to go and watch City play Newcastle midweek in a semi final when you've seen us win at Wembley countless times or in Istanbul or at home to the best in the CL just isn't there.

Pricing has always had an impact on attendances but I think other things like the weather, travel, opposition have all become more of an excuse than they used to be because of our previous success though.

The club has to release more season tickets in the NS or we're in trouble. They have to try and attract younger, hungry fans who will have the energy to come week in week out regardless of the opposition.
I agree.

We have been asking the club via countless threads and posts on BM and via fan representatives to make as many regular season ticket available as possible next season, with the addition of 8000 NSL2 seats

The club hasn’t listened, and all they’ve offered is 4000 FG season tickets for the stadium, that’s it.

Every lapsed season ticket for seasons has been turned into match day sale ticket sales by the club instead of the club offering those season tickets to other City fans who would snap them up.

The directors aren’t listening. The directors don’t care. They will plough on regardless with their short sighted season ticket and match day ticket polices.

I agree totally especially the last line or two but they must be getting squeaky bums looking at all the empty seats for EVERY game not just mid week cup games

The Galatasaray match and empty seats I get up to a point, as the restrictions put in place made it almost impossible to get tickets. My son and mate were both away on holiday and couldn't resell or transfer their tickets, so 2 empty seats next to me and the guy who also sits next to me was unable to get 2 tickets for his mates, which has never happened before so the club pretty much locked the match down. A league cup Semi Final and chance to get to Wembley with loads of empty seats will be embarrassing. So many excuses as well. Weather, Cost ( the tickets are pretty cheap) Traffic, KO time, Travel, Opposition fans, the club... blah blah. All the same factors that have been in play for years when we were selling matches like this out, so it's just a load of whiney excuses. A large chunk of our fan base these days are recent converts and fair weather plastic fans. They are also the ones that get moody when they get ripped by their mates about empty seats. Couldn't make it up. Either way, it's just piss poor. Would Everton, Leeds, Liverpool, United, Villa not sell out. Of course they would, I'm sorry to say we have some pretty crap fans, and after 50 years of following City, I'm pretty qualified to form that opinion..
You are correct I agree with the points

But we’ve always struggled with these league cup semis

United Liverpool Everton burton all well under

Even United didn’t sell out our last league cup semi at there ground

Wednesday night is a coordinated boycott over ticket pricing.

Low attendances have the maximum effect.

They probably won't care as long as the hard of thinking start waving their flashlights in the second half to show that they're enjoying the fan experience.

Something doesn't feel right about these Newcastle Sales. Nearly all the blocks in SS Lower have sold out, however block 021 randomly has 230 seats left.

Everton didn’t sell out the 1st leg of the semi final against us a few seasons back , and that was with us have an extended allocation of around 4000 !

I’m embarrassed about all those on here who are embarrassed about what some child sat on a computer in Senegal might say about our attendance!

Go if u can ,if u can’t, fine

12.39am into Stockport then a courtesy bus to Piccadilly and hope taxis are still hanging around or Uber.
2.30am home if your lucky.

Never mind, at least 4.30 caters for the armchair viewer who can watch Var fuck us over. (Again)
