Is the league, for want of a better word, ‘bent’?

Remember against Villa at home, Rodri came from behind Mings I think it was took the ball of him, gave it to Silva who scored. Perfectly good goal under the LOTG. Law then changed.

KDB booked for taking a free kick too quickly against Newcastle, has anyone been booked for it since?

Rashford allowed to run with the ball for @ goal to be scored. Webb later said he would, if it happened again, expect the goal to be disallowed

Ederson and now Donnarumma being carded for their first offence when other keepers have routinely wasted time from minute one - looking at you Pickford, Pope, Ramsdale etc

Arsenal being awarded a penalty after the shot was cleared off the line and the forward collided with Ederson, never seen one given since against a keeper. Foden against Newcastle, Cherki against Forest, Bobb against Spurs all spring to mind.

Henderson FA Cup - no need to say anymore

This is before the last half dozen games and the ridiculous decisions made against us.

If there is anyone on here who doesn’t think that we are reffed differently and that Richard Scudamore’s “new name on the trophy in every six year period” isn’t still a thing then I have a bridge to sell you.

Why has no journalist ever asked what this plan was and how can it be ensured if it’s a level playing field.

I personally don’t see any other teams getting this many pivotal decisions go against them week after week.
You wouldn’t though, as your interests aren’t invested in anything other than City. The same way those calling corruption against their clubs only have that club in their minds. That’s how this works. It’s just football fans talking bollocks, but all believing they’re correct.

I have been saying since the 100 point season. In that season something wasn't right, teams were allowed to kick us all over with impunity and pundits would gloss over it and say stuff like "kick em if you can't stop them" type of bollocks, think Danny Murphy said something similar. I remember the spurs home game that season, Deli Ali and Kane should have walked for dangerous straight legged challenges on sterling and KDB, nothing, but if fern placed his hand on someone's shoulder then instant yellow with the likes of neville talking about master of dark arts.
Cardiff away, I'm sure Sane got injured through unpunished challenge, Wigan in the cup Delph sent off for retaliation against bad tackles. Aguero against united got his knee done, no penalty. Im sure Aguero got booked for diving against Southampton despite replays showing he got wiped out.
But more often than not we would regularly get more bookings for shit small folks.
United when finished 2nd with solkjaer had something like 25 penalties awarded, second most was city with 13, one of klopps title run in seasons they had over 20 penalties awarded.
I still say there is a pre determined agenda, maybe not against city but they try make the season as close as possible or to suit a particular narrative for the tv production.
Those fouls that season were horrific and could have ended up being worse than they were.

Might not be the same category but is the same ballpark, how many times have we seen teams timewaste all game v us only for the ref to pull out his card and book the keeper in the 89th minute. It became a running joke for a while. It was a way of evening things up a bit it seemed.

I’ve been saying all season that we are reffed differently. There is a different allowance for City when it comes to fouling. I think the Newcastle game really sticks out for me this year in the league. They were allowed to foul us time after time and nothing. 2 pens not given and a dubious VAR goal for them.

Yes we have to better and we have been our own worst enemies at times this season but if I was Rodri I’d want to speak out too. Some of the decisions have been subjected to have been very iffy! Yesterday was just another in a catalog IMO.

Thats one of the main things that bugs me too. I am used to myself being biased for City but along with the weird decisions against us game after game it is our opponents getting the weird decisions for them that makes thing very suspicious.

This isnt season long either, it started in the run up to christmas but has continued since then with no let up and no game changing decisions going our way except 2 that I know of. It surely has to even itself out soon. We cant go all season with a favourable-major decision rate of approx 20%, maybe even worse than that.

Correct.
Its not corrupt, we just have laws of the game that can be interpreted differently from ref to ref and total ineptitude.

Its just another example of football eating itself from the inside

Listen to those ironic cheers then when Sunderland for a decision for them. Until then they thought everyone was wrong and going against them

Rodri bring sent off would have had an affect on the game...go back and look at his challenges...anyone that knows anything about football will see that both could and have in the past been given as yellows.

Pep has clearly said we can't blame refs for results...does he want consistant refereeing...yes..we all do but that ain't happening while you have humans involved in any part of the process ...so agsin its a waste of oxygen ftom anyone to keep crying about it.

The only thing that Pep and the players can affect is their own performances.

You lot keep crying and whinging about decisions every week if you want...see where it gets you...if rodri ( like he has) or the other players keep doing it then we are done....they won't get better and we deserve to not win anything ....they should be looking at the ONLY thing they can change...that is their shit performances.

We deserved that result yesterday......end of....just like many of our poor results this season...

Some people just can't admit it and want to find any excuse
At what point did I use it as an excuse for the result? This tread is not about team or player performance

As I said, Pep has had enough with these decisions and has pointed out that he hasn’t said anything for 10years, kept quite and fought the good fight but, we still get shafted week in week out

What do you mean “you lot” why are you bothering to come on here with your arrogant attitude of you know better?

You seemed obsessed with Rodri being sent off, he could have been yeah but, it was very late in the game and as I said refs have a higher criteria for a second yellow. Jones allowed Spurs players to kick City players without punishment, the tackle on Rodri was almost red, did he give a yellow? No, minutes later he booked Kush for his first foul

So leave us lot to discuss refs and their performance and the PL corruption as that’s what this tread is all about. I will discuss team and player performance in the appropriate threads

Fatty Simon Hooper's change of heart is probably one of the worst decisions I've seen against us and convinced me there is an agenda against us.
To wave play on to Haaland after he was fouled and then quickly renegade on your decision because Haaland had played Grealish clean through on goal in the last minute absolutely stunk.
He knew there was a chance of us getting a winner right at the death of that game with his original decision of play on, so he panicked and brought it back for a free kick to us.
The **** should of been struck off for that, and probably would of been had he dared do that to utd or Liverpool if they had been in that position.
It was like his subconscious was programmed to stop us having an advantage even though he himself had waved play on.

This ^^^^^^^^

But these aren’t pivatol decisions.
Obviously you and others think that all is fine but I’d rather believe what I see and side with Rodri and Pep.
They’re pivotal to the fans that see them. Nobody is right here. Nobody. We have a huge hysteria of paranoid fans who believe everyone and everything is against us.

So do the other 19 clubs in the league.

Nobody is right.

Of course it’s bent.

Just taking yesterday as an example because it’s fresh. I cannot fathom how an official, with the added aid of a video replay doesn’t see that Solanke kicks Guehi in the calf and as such, commits a foul. They simply cannot be that incompetent. So for me, at best an element of bias must have come into the thinking. It’s fucking bent.
The game at Newcastle the other week was on another level entirely. The offside graphics didn’t even bear any resemblance to what had actually taken place, and the Foden non penalty - again I cannot fathom how VAR can get that wrong and then spout some made up bollocks about oh well he managed to get the shot away so it’s not a foul. Bollocks

Wasting your time with the crank.

We’re defo a bag of shite at times but that doesn’t mean the dodgy refereeing can’t be called out. Both can be right.

Im not tlalking about the teams...Im taking about the fans of other teams claiming that they dont get pivotal decisions or that refs are biased against them..just go listen to the the arsenal fans for starters!!! - when you listen to others saying it you realise how pathetic it sound

Difference between dodgy (ie shit/incompetant etc) and what the title of the thread suggests - ie bent
