Atmosphere Thread | 2025/26

One thing is sure about Wednesday night, it will be the diehards who turn up, so I’m expecting a decent atmosphere from both sets of fans. I doubt many, if any tourists and general football fans will be there. It’s back to the 40K old skool support.
I thought the atmosphere was better against Galatasaray, with less fans there, than it was against Wolves as the fans who turned up were "Fans" rather that "Tourists!!"

Not really because it was a must win game for us and promotion on the line. I was actually sat next to s fellow blue but we kept it respectful. The bloke next to me on the other side had sussed i was a City fan but said they had no problem so long as i didn't celebrate if we scored.

Blackburn couldn't complain as loads of their fans sold their tickets for a big profit and went to watch it in the pub. It was a nothing game for them.
One of the great days

I was on the front row of the top tier behind the goal and was keeping it similarly respectful until we scored and I turned round and realised that two thirds of the stand was going mental celebrating

I’m going tonight for one of my infrequent visits and in days gone by I’d be all excited at the prospect of a massive semi final and a rocking stadium but tbh I’m expecting a real damp squib of a night - half and half plastics everywhere, no atmosphere, no passion, no fun.

Sounds defeatist I know but Soriano and his goons have browbeaten real fans into acquiescence as everything we knew and loved about match days has been dismantled piece by piece.

I’m a habitual early leaver but not for semi finals so I’ll be there til the end tonight to cheer the boys on to Wembley

i feel like one of the only people looking forward to tonight!

I've got a feeling that we're going to approach this in much the same way as Arsenal did last night.

Even though that's not in Pep's playbook, I think he may well choose to defend the 2 goal lead rather than go for it.

A 1-0 defeat would see us through, but none of us would have any fingernails left...

If we're one down at half time we will all be worried.
Hope the grounds full of proper fans tonight.
Get behind the lads .

Anyone else get a message on the OS offering you to add junior memberships to your account for £5 rather than £20? I did, so I went through the process only for at the end for it to say I can add zero new junior memberships to my season card (when I don't have any assigned already) Why fucking offer something if I'm then not allowed it?!?

The offer ended on 31st January

Edit - offer still showing even though the offer has ended. Typical.

A 1-0 defeat would be a repeat of the semi v the rags when we won 3-1 at their place and turned to shit in the second leg.
Couple of early goals needed and no half-time team talk.
Ooh and we've got a bloody light show and Blue Moon performance to look forward to.

It will be good tonight, really looking forward to it, hopefully me and young Gaz get out of the ground by the normal exits this Wednesday rather than through the medical room ala last week
Hope you both enjoy the match, mate.
Well done Young Gaz on keeping the faith...

Tonight in particular, Pep must use his subs much earlier.
Eddie Howe will almost certainly use all 5 subs, putting City under a high, impactful press.
If the game is going away from City (as it was on Sunday in the 2nd half v Spurs), Pep must change things earlier, bring prepared to use all 5 subs - for a change...

In fairness to the club, they've done well filling the lower tiers, doesn't look as bad as many on here feared.

A great atmosphere tonight
Just City regulars, FOC's and loads of young lads all mixed in, singing, and supporting the team.

Plus fast, exciting, and attacking football.

Just like the old days at the Etihad.
