Ok, swap out harbouring for protecting, in this context it's fundamentally the same thing. There's now a high chance Mandelson will face criminal proceedings, Andrew will never face criminal proceedings; and you, I, and absolutely everybody else knows the reason why.

I think, with Guiffre dead, in this jurisdiction (and somewhat ironically) the only charge they could potentially make stick, would be misconduct in public office, if they could get one of his former security detail to give evidence. .

Even if Guiffre was alive and able to give live evidence I’m not sure what sexual offence he could be charged with.
