Haaland has been figured out.

He needs to watch until he can figure out how to adapt his game. Even today he had 2 perfectly good chances that he should have buried.

Haaland needs to find his 2.0 version.

He's been figured out but he still got 2 perfectly good chances? Surely if he'd been figured out, he wouldn't have got those chances.
Gotta give the keeper credit for decent saves

You're right. He's been a juggernaut lately.

Blimey the Haaland haters and peps leaving bedwetters have taken over this place lately.
Haaland has 20 goals in 24 league games this season, yeh he's been off form lately and his confidence has dropped, but class is permanent.
With Doku presumably being out still for this one, there's no reason both Haaland and marmoush can't both start, they both play in different parts of the pitch anyway.
Cherki has to start instead of foden for me, fodens form is way off and we need someone who can at least put half a tackle in.

Donna
Nunes
Dias
Guehi
O'Reilly
Nico
Rodri
Cherki
Semenyo
Haaland
Marmoush

We need to do something about that high line, why we arn't changing that is beyond me. We have full backs who are capable of messing up the offside trap and we get too open everytime. We have been shit but we have also been relying on our keepers saving a lot of shots.

Newcastle gave us a very open game, much less physical from recent meetings. However, Liverpool will be we a tougher proposition, and we appear to have a number of players who are either not yet fully fit (Rodri, Gonzalez, Marmoush, Ait-Nouri) or who are looking jaded (Nunes, O’Reilly, Haaland, Foden). That’s normally a recipe for individual mistakes. Guardiola is going to have to patch them together for the next two games, and then we can enjoy a bit of time off for the remainder of the month. A draw might feel disastrous for our title aspirations, but it might be a good result in terms of helping us build momentum into the spring.

Same feeling going into each game. I think we will win the first and lose the second half. Baffling as to why it keeps happening.

Not optimistic, but I wonder if Pep will adopt the same tactics as the Arsenal away game. Play a low block and use Semenyo and Haaland's pace on the counter. Not ideal that Bernardo is likely to miss out , we need some legs to replace his energy so possibly go with NOR.

I love the attitude, no one has 1% hope that we will win this game :)

What really scares me not the Anfield, but how the team conceded more than 5 easy dangerous chances against Newcastle

Tbf they were 2 very good saves from Ramsdale

It’s Anfield. Even when we’re flying we lose there. And we ain’t flying at the moment. One ray of hope is the stodgy football Slot has them playing suits us a bit better than the quick attacking style they had with Klopp.
