Ill be there and having stayed in the League Cup scheme will hopefully see the benefit of being able to access the cheapest ticket possible up in the gods.

St up in the gods for the Cup semis and final 2023, and both semis in 2024 and 2025 in the FA Cup and we won em all; sat in Level 1 for 24 and 25 FA Cup finals and we shit the bed both times. Moral of the story - sit back up in the gods.

So, according to Football.London (probably an advocate for Arsenal I’m guessing) the EFL will not allow Guehi to play in the final. The rules were changed to allow players to play in the cup if signed in the winter window before the first leg of a semi final. Well, that rule is bizarre because City’s first leg against Newcastle was played on 13th Jan, so that gives very limited time (12 days) to sign players. You would expect the EFL would encourage the best players to play in the final. They would certainly complain if Premier League clubs fielded their second team in the final.

I hope its a good omen. We won it 50 years ago, and 10 years ago. Both had No 6 in the year.....

I love the 76 final, it was the last trophy we won before I started work. It seemed fitting that we won it again after 38 years the year I made my escape.

Fwiw 2011 and 2012 were also pretty memorable :-).

So come on lads, you won't be favourites, let's put Arteta and his corner thugs back in their box.

Rules is rules. The Carabao competition ends earlier than all the others so has an earlier cutoff. I wouldn’t want rules bending for others so don’t think they should be bent for us.
I’m not asking for them to be bent for us, merely that the cut off date is the close of the January window.

Marc won't be allowed to play.

If it was any other club I reckon there wouldn't be a question.....

I hope the club go all out to challenge this in fine detail.

I don't. The rules are written before the start of the season and that's when to question them, not when you get to the final and realise something doesn't suit you.

Guehi will play games either side of the final I'm sure, there needs to be rotation of some sort when the schedule is so busy anyway.

If I can take my daughter and it not be too expensive, I’ll go.

Just not sure if I’d drive all the way there and back in a day, whether I’d drive to Banbury etc then get a train in or train from Manchester.

What will others do out of interest?

I didn’t realise the rules had been changed to allow anyone to play if they’d already played for a different team in the competition. But City must have known the rules and it’s pathetic to complain about them now, much as it was for Howe to moan about Semenyo playing

Haven’t seen any odds for this yet but I’m presuming we’re the underdogs. What was the last final we played when we weren’t favourites?

Good for a London club to go to a final hey?! They get bigger wages they don’t have to travel as far it be at least £50/100 cheaper add in the amount of time we have gone to Wembley where in honestly it’s not as exciting as it was! It’s like having a bar chocolate one after another eventually you’ll get fed up with it! Winning trophies though us fans will never get board of now it’s the journey a few find tedious! Yep we been spoilt
What's the alternative. The rags new 100000 seater stadium being used in the future. Fook that. I'd rather drive the 400 mile round trip or walk around Oldham with a nail in my shoe.

Gutted that I won’t be able to make my 28th trip to Wembley as well be on. Cruise. Booked it taking into account the Carabao final is usually the last weekend in February, now the bastids have moved back a month
