The above is what i think might happen... This is what id rather have happen

....................Donna...............
Nunez.... Khusa... Guehi......RAN
..Gonzalez.....Rodri..... O'Reilly...
..................Reijnders................
......Semenyo .........Haaland......

Be interesting to see that formation but with Cherki instead of Reijnders. Without both Doku and Cherki we'd struggle to create chances.

Also, Nunez plays in Saudi Arabia :) Would be rather shit at RB anyway.

Sunday will be the day we see Guehi as potentially being one of the best buys ever
Can’t see them laying a glove on us probably kick the fuck out of us tho
Only way we lose this is by being wasteful in front of goal

....................Donna...............
Nunez.... Khusa... Guehi......O'Reilly
……………..Gonzalez....Rodders
Semenyo........Cherkie........RAN
....………...........Moosh......

Donna, Guehi, Nunes, Rodri, Cherki are automatic picks for me. Dias could come in given the occasion, but I think it would be harsh to Khusanov who's been playing well recently. Ait Nouri would be great for getting at them and providing width from left back, but O'Reilly can do the same while being a little more robust defensively. Gonzalez should play to get fitness and a double pivot with him and Rodri should give everyone ahead of them license to take some risks. If Bernardo is fit he plays ahead of Rodri-Gonzalez with Reijnders or Foden coming in if he isn't. Haaland has to play with Cherki to feed him. For the second striker, Marmoush deserves it but playing Semenyo would really boil the piss with 2/2 new signings Liverpool wanted in the starting lineup.

Donna
Nunes-Dias-Guehi-O'Reilly
Rodri
Gonzalez-Bernardo/Reijnders/Foden
Cherki
Marmoush/Semenyo-Haaland

Staring to think RAN simply needs to be used to his strenghts- at LW especailly with Doku out.

Can't argue with that - but I'm talking about at our end. That's where everything falls apart, from what I've been watching this past year or longer?
Understood. Makes me pine for the days when we were shite and could only dream of being in any cup final, or 2nd in the league. We are truly the lucky generation of City fans. Let's focus on that and hope for the best - it's overdue at Anfield.

Dias was training indoors last week and back into full training Monday after only a matter of 4 weeks off and not 4 months! He will start alongside Guehi on Sunday imo and I wouldn’t be adverse to Khusanov staying at RB for this one to make us more solid and use his pace
I don't think Pep will start Dias. If he had got some minutes on Wednesday then maybe, but i don't see why we need to change the defence for this game.
Khusanov will play, Nunes too, we're going to need their pace.

I think Pep will try to match them in midfield. I can see Rodri, Gonzalez and Reijnders all starting in this.

Donnarumma
Nunes
Khusanov
Guehi
O'Reilly
Rodri
Gonzalez
Reijnders
Cherki
Haaland
Semenyo

Why would anybody be confident going to Anfield, we’ve been absolutely shit for decades, it’s just one of those places. However, I personally think that their defence is riddled with mistakes and if we can keep the ball in their final third, and don’t allow them any chance of breaking on us, whilst also having really fast legs to get back when they do, then we may have a chance ;-)
