No doubt Wirtz will suddenly begin looking like the 60m player he is against us despite being shite alll season bar the odd decent moment
Took him a while to get going, but he's been lookin' good and banging in goals lately .... he will definitely need watching by an unconvincing defence that usually allows opponents oceans of room !

I just don't have the belief anymore with the corrupt officiating, I just know they'll fuck us over and coupled with our terrible record at Anfield it'll be almost impossible to overcome that.

Exactly how I feel. I've got a lot of project paper work to do so I'll j7st have the game on in the background.

Even our good 17-19 and 22-23 teams were done over by officiating. I don't count the covid win.

It is soo depressing.

Our form is very up and now at the moment, even during a single game. But we are going to click at some point and someone is going to get battered. Let's hope it's those Scouse fuckers.

6 goals 3 assists in his last 10 games apparently. He seems to be in that moment between a big signing getting laughed at for not starting well, and everyone realising he's actually just really good.

Just not confident at all with this one. Not sure we’ll have enough creativity in midfield. Can see them passing us through the lines with ease. Rodders can’t do it all. I can only see a dominating performance by Liverpool and a loss

If this follows the usual pattern of our game we will have a fast start, score a goal or two, there will be a contentious decision - VAR will make the call against City as usual and it will be the turning point of the game. Our heads will go down and we lose the 2nd half.

I’m okay with the sideways passing and back passing so long as it’s done with fast intensity. Always lucky to just get a cup of tea at Anfield. If we manage to go 2 nil up then it’s about managing the game just like we use to. Haaland and Foden need to turn up if selected

I feel like we’re getting caught between two styles recently. Get back to how we played over Christmas and we can have a really good season. Dias back is a huge boost.

Really good? His GA has come against utterly crap teams. The bar is in hell for 116m man.

Or maybe they will just dominate the game and win easily like the corresponding fixture last season.
Just looked at our starting XI from that game, and it was pretty dire:

Ortega

Walker
Dias
Akanji
Ake

Gundogan
Lewis
Silva

Nunes
Foden
Haaland

You'd hope that whatever XI we put out tomorrow will be a lot stronger and at least put up a bit more fight.
