The BBC bringing the sympathy angle into it about the death of Jota suggesting that football isn't as important to Liverpool players this season because of the grief they suffered and are still suffering.

What a load of shite.

They were top of the table at peak grief, end of Sept!1000019504.jpg

Reckon we’ll go with a front three of Semenyo, Haaland and Cherki.
Shame we don’t have Doku available but Semenyo can cause plenty of problems against their right back of choice. And cherki v Kerkez, there’s only one winner there. Think this game will be decided on the midfield, it’s anyone’s guess what pep goes with, just hope he doesn’t have one of his brain farts before the game.

An inevitable defeat. Undoubtably....

1. A penalty to Liverpool
2. A City player sent off.
3. A City goal ruled out by VAR or the ref for some different and bizarre interpretation of the rules which will take 6 minutes.
Or maybe they will just dominate the game and win easily like the corresponding fixture last season. A goalie wildly charging out of his box and a penalty taker sending the ball into orbit are amongst the reasons we have failed to win in this kip in recent years. I suppose it is convenient to always blame the ref and Var.

Yeah I'd be surprised if they take Szoboszlai out of the midfield against us.

Would be a good game if Doku was fit because I think they'd have to go Szoboszlai right back if that were the case.

Who's going to play at RB if not Szloboszlai? He's the only one who has started games at RB other than Bradley and Frimpong.

Maybe Kerkez at RB and Robertson at LB? Doubt they'd put against Semenyo someone who has never played at RB before. According to Slot, Gomez won't be ready to start.

Yeah probably Robertson if I was them, most experienced of the 2.

Probably will be Szoboszlai but that just makes them a lot weaker in midfield.

:) Hopefully not

Our team is good enough to win there.
It's all about mentality.
The lads need big balls, going into the match with the mindset to really enjoy pissing on their party, silencing their crowd, do exactly what they DON'T want us to do and stick the ball in the net from any half chance.

All that with a cheeky smile. Ignore the cultish atmosphere.
Easily said, very tough to do.

Now pick the team who can offer the above tasks...

Well to be fair dippers do appear to be extra sensitive to all aspects of life in general except, but do manage to find extra strength when lobbing bricks at coaches or coins at opposition supporters.

Everybody should clearly respect the frailties these individuals have to endure simply for wanting to show homage to their extra special human beings who represent them on the football pitch.

But seriously no doubt that the players and club officials would have been distressed at the time of Jota's death, but ffs surely it's time our media outlets stopped feeding such narratives in a lame attempt to explain their loss of form.

Excuse after excuse ...................

We’ll find out tomorrow what type of season these players want. They’ve talked a lot about how there’s so many games left. Well you better start winning some lads.

But we're second in the league and in a cup final. Have some faith mate. Can't see anything other than a big win.
I hope you're right. But I think we're playing as badly as at any point in the last 7 or 8 years. Worse actually. Our attack is toothless with no player seemingly able to make the right decision and pass to whoeever has an open goal in front of them. We have a non-existant midfield and a leaky defence. The only players who have been consistently excellent IMO are Donna, Doku and - suprisingly - Nunes. We are IMO 2nd because everyone else is rubbish.

And our "shitting the bed" when under pressure is something we've not managed to really shake off in 20+ years. They will harry and press us and we'll crumble I think. (Sorry!)

Last sentence. Guaranteed he will.
