PP make a lot of their money by taking bets on their site/in their shops and laying those bets off at slightly higher odds on places like Betfair Exchange. They can usually lock in a 5%+ margin this way regardless of the outcome.

The issue arises when a team becomes overwhelming favourite and the odds on the PP site and that on Betfair exchange become very close as a result, meaning there is no margin for them that factors in paying for the administration of those bets.

What you’re really doing on here is gloating because you know that you’ve basically won this title but you want to come on here and make out that we have a chance .
 
Been saying since the start of Jan, within 6 after Liverpool (A) then I'll entertain it.

I have us to lose today and it to be over but if we did win it'll be the first punch we've threw all season, to have gone through United, Spurs and Liverpool (A) and be in exactly the same position would be quite something.

Probably the first time Arsenal would think they've fucked up a bit.

If we win today we’re winning the league
 
Win today and I'd start to believe and I suspect Arsenal might start to believe it as well.

Unfortunately, think we'll get stuffed, especially once the Ovaltine and bedtime stories kick in after half time
 
Liverpool at Anfield is the benchmark. Win today and i'll at least start to think the players have the fight and hunger to want to win it. Lose and i'll know they don't.

In a title race, we need to be winning at places like Anfield, historically a difficult place to get a win, but right now we need these sorts of results to prove to fans the team is ready for the fight.

Arsenal's ability to lose the title due to botting it or injuries is never in doubt, however we've shown bugger all this season to suggest we could take advantage; the win in Madrid aside.
Drawing or losing from winning positions at least five times is not a sign of champions.
 
They haven't really showed us this season that they want it for one reaon or another. Actually show up today and beat the scouse cunts and it might signal that shift in mentality that we are going to need. Not holding my breath though.

I do wonder if we've got the fitness for it, as I can't see what else can cause such a marked drop off. We also struggle whenever the opposition put a shift in.

If it was early last season, you could say it was arrogance/confidence of multiple champions believing they are good enough to cruise through a game once winning. That can't be the case anymore.

Some of our matches have been like night and day before and after HT. My concern now is that it becomes a mentality issue. Needs eradicating as it's the main reason for our very iffy form since NYD.

Did you honestly think we could win the title at the start of the season mate ? I think we have done well so far but we are running out of steam now and tbh arsenal have been thr best team .

As far as I can recall I predicted we would finish in third place last August.I would more than settle for that now with the iceing a win against Arsenal in the final. I think more interesting might be next season and whether we can do it then. I am sure Pep and key players haven't given up yet but deep down I suspect they believe we are just a bit off the pace this season. Next season, probably Pep's last, is the litmus test as to whether or not we have engineered a successful transition.
