Trips to Anfield always used to be hugely stressful when we were going head-to-head for the title, but I'm a bit more relaxed about today knowing that the league has probably gone. Looking forward to seeing how we perform, and hoping we show a bit of grit and character like the Arsenal away performance, and not the turgid displays we saw at Old Trafford and Spurs recently.

Won't happen, of course, but I wouldn't be averse to a bit of a formation tweak for this one and a back three with Nunes and O'Reilly (or Ait-Nouri) as wingbacks and Cherki as a 10.

Donnarumma

Khusanov
Dias
Guehi

Nunes
Rodri
Silva/Gonzalez
O'Reilly

Cherki

Semenyo
Haaland

That formation looks good to me. My only concern would be that it hasn’t been (sufficiently) practiced so far.

Yeah, Anfield probably isn’t the place to be experimenting with formations/line-ups (as we’ve found out in the past!).

We are due a win at Liverpool according to the law of averages. The only problem is the law of averages does not seem to apply at Klanfield. So, if we are going to win today, we need a big performance. No shit Sherlock etc. Come on City.

I can’t see City getting anything today, so I’m not getting my hopes up, but you never know.

Play to our potential and i see nothing but a City win. That performance at the etihad only 3 months ago was nothing short of football brilliance...& this has to be one of the best team goals ever seen...Foden staying on his feet right at the start of the move absolutely fantastic....kick me? Ok watch this!!‍

Our results there are that bad, I don't even stress going there anymore. At least after today we've played away at rags, dippers, villa, arsenal, spurs and Newcastle. All grounds we've struggled at in recent years. Get our annual Anfield defeat out the way and we can focus on the rest of the season. Leagues gone, but hopefully at least one domestic cup, a good run in the CL and qualify for it again next season to end this one.

Just how I’m thinking mate as tbh I don’t see anything other than a big Liverpool win today but I didn’t expect to win the title either so not that bothered .

Sound and sensible post.

I just don't get City fans throwing in the towel before a ball is kicked...the men & women who built this famous club would be ashamed of us. Have some flipping pride in battle like the latin emblem for our club states.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I still cannot believe that City supporters are not saying FIGHT TO THE END, :-)

Anyone tell Guehi to not forget his shin pads and 2 more for his calves...

If we go into this having a mindset of favourites on the road to the title we'll get beat and laughed off.

If we can't wait to beat the bestest team ever at the epicentre of cultists and hurt their hopes for top5 we have a chance.

Cold as ice please.
