Would have preferred Nico G in midfield and Nico O at left back. But lets see.

He may push RAN up the pitch and have OReilly covering LB at times who knows at this stage, Marmoush could be more a support for Haaland rather than being wide left.

If you look at both teams and us being away at Anfield they will be favourites. We need to be right up for this.

Foden doesn't deserve to start and isn't.

Reinjders despite playing well on Wednesday goes missing for hours, so quite rightly doesn't start.

The only slightly debatable issues are Alt Nouri at LB. Bringing in Nico G would have allowed Nico O to play LB. Having said that O'Reilly looks solid in midfield.
The only other issue is whether Cherki should be playing. Personally would play him instead of Haaland but understand why Pep goes with Erling.
Think we are set up well for the counter. If Marmoush and Semenyo are at we might spring a surprise.

Liverpool's weakest player is the LB, Kerkez, and if you put Cherki in a front 3 he gets the entire afternoon off because Cherki will just move into the middle. If you put Cherki in the midfield 3 then we're defending with 2 midfielders.

It makes sense. Plus he came off injured last week so likely isn't fully fit, and can come on second half if we need him.
