Look I have my criticism of Erling but I wish people would stop harping on his lack of touches.

The game we play is specifically designed to minimise his touches.

Pep Guardiola does not want Erling Haaland getting loads of touches on the ball. He has set this up on purpose.
I dont think its the lack of touches, its he isn't even scoring anymore, that chance in the first 3 mins should have been buried, he had time to lift that over the keeper, Haaland with confidence finishes that, we looked a lot better against Newcastle going forward when he was on the bench

Good half but need a goal. Semenyos touch at times is fucking horrible.

I'm a little shocked at how poor it is. I seem to remember it being pretty good at Bournemouth and him being more direct and strong. I reckon if Doku was playing we'd be a couple of goals up now.

Biggest mistake Pep can do in second half - bring on Foden as sub.

Fucking you again. Whenever I have the misfortune of being in the match day thread you pop up with some shit about Foden even when he isn't even playing.

Mods ban this fucker, he's not a blue.

100% this. He is NOT Harry Kane.

Wife just asked
Why is Haaland wearing a red hair bobble ? You wouldn't wear anything Red on a match against a team who plays in red.
She's got a point
I find women are brilliant at noticing colours and explaining their contextual meaning or implication

I don't see any attitude problem with Haaland or Semenyo, but jeez - neither could trap a bag of cement today.

And Ait-Nouri - one lovely run, since then he's been like a hand-brake. His body shape shows that he's going to pass it backwards before he receives the ball.

Such an encouraging half, though - wish I hadn't watched all our second 45s, I'd be even more hopeful...

Playing well, unfortunately it now has to be a full 90 minutes good performance.

Interested that we seem to be trying to go through the middle constantly. Not sure if this is why, but I think it's pulling their fullbacks in and stopping them getting forward as much as they'd want.

Played fairly decent 1st half, do I continue to watch 2nd half as feel not much point on recent 2nd half performances

The main thing I don't like is that the media are pretending it didn't even happen. For some teams this would be a massive 'mistake', but barely even a mention. Reminds me of the shove in the back by Rogers on Gvardiol at Villa when it was 0-0. You look back now and it never even happened.
Yup.

Same with stat padding ref's who chuck in a couple of late yc's for the opposition when we've been kicked up and down the pitch for 88 minutes. Erased from history.
