Would give them another 10 minutes if it’s not working - bring on Cherki for Haaland
Problem is that, based on recent performances, Marmoush will likely run out of puff around the 70 minute mark. He’s been making long runs in both directions so might not go beyond 75.

Nonsense. He had a one on one after 50 seconds and Allison smothered his effort.
So, one chance 50 seconds in. One cross from Rodri, any others? I’m not sticking up for him, he’s been absolute trash for two months now and shouldn’t be in the team, but it still doesn’t change the fact that we don’t play to his strengths

I clocked that too.

Not something I want to see at all. I don’t mind players getting on off the pitch obviously, but when it’s half time away at murderville I don’t want to see our striker who seemingly can’t hit a cows arse with a banjo being all pally pally with the victims captain!
It kind’ve matches his carefree attitude on the pitch. We don’t need that in a game of this importance. We need winners and shithousers like Bernie and Rodders

I know, but you know full well that would have been their argument for not giving it, and all the pundits will be pushing the same narrative to the drooling masses.

The main thing I don't like is that the media are pretending it didn't even happen. For some teams this would be a massive 'mistake', but barely even a mention. Reminds me of the shove in the back by Rogers on Gvardiol at Villa when it was 0-0. You look back now and it never even happened.

One of Haaland or Marmoush needs to come off to free up space instead of blocking each other like in the first half, and bring Cherki or Foden on for more fluidity up top to finish chances.

Look I have my criticism of Erling but I wish people would stop harping on his lack of touches.

The game we play is specifically designed to minimise his touches.

Pep Guardiola does not want Erling Haaland getting loads of touches on the ball. He has set this up on purpose.
I couldn’t give a flying arse how many touches he has if he’s bagging goals, but when he’s not scoring and there is zero else he offers, then there’s nowhere to hide and criticism is totally valid.

If he’s not scoring, we are playing with 10 men. It is that binary with Earl.

Pep HAS to know that Liverpool will approach the second half differently, right?

Feels like our big issue in recent weeks has been winning the game between initial starting systems but then immediately losing control of the game when the opposition's system changes at HT and having no response to get it back.

The only encouragement I have is that we have more off the bench than they do, but that's about it.

Probably the most dominant half we've had at Anfield with a crowd. Think perspective is needed
