Liverpool (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

I was in agreement mate. The midfield 3 was key. Gave us control and solidity.
Wasn't a fan of Bernardo advancing beyond our front line for a press but aside from that the midfield was quality in the first half. Tired second half as expected with a less than 100% rodri and Bernardo.

If I was in a mischievous mood I might be tempted to quote a few posts from that pre-match thread, some unbelievable blindness to what the tactics would be. Okay we rode our luck pretry much all of the second half but overall, one of the best performances at anfield under Pep.

Brilliant result and first half performance….what makes it sweeter is Sky trying to change the narrative and say little mo should have had a pen…..ah bless.

I thought Pep got the tactics spot on and we played really well in the first half. Struggled as is our custom in the second half but from about 75 mins City really came more into it and ran out deserved winners…

Some big performances from Khusanov and Guehi, the latter absolutely superb. Donna was worrying in H1, but pulled off a great save late on in the second. Bernie was everywhere and scored an absolute beauty!

Mad end to the game but I didn’t expect anything else from these officials..

Onwards blues, still everything to play for.

Have been suffering with depression lately, cannot tell you what that result meant to me. Thanks all on the Matchday thread today, great day - and its the only joy I had on a mid-50s birthday!
Happy birthday and hope the rest of the day and week go better for you.

Look after yourself x

I'll be honest, I still don’t fully understand the technicalities of that decision.
Advantage played for Haaland, however due to him pulling back the Slob, it’s a foul but Haaland gained no advantage so it’s brought back to that foul, which is preventing a goal scoring opportunity even though we scored, so red card and free kick. It was the right decision according to the law, good job it wasn’t for an equalizer or winnwr though.
