The problem of 2nd half collapses has to be addressed and fixed, I'm offering a thought about opinion why, and you call it an odd post.

Both the defence and the midfield (Rodri, O'Reilly, Bernardo) are new, the patterns are not established yet. We have never played before with that defence and that midfield. Yet we won 4 pts at Spurs and Liverpool. In the Treble season we won 0 pts at those grounds.
Also, we won the 2nd halves at Newcastle (cup) and Liverpool...

The squad has a lot of energy and depth, which partly compensates for some weaknesses.

The second half has been a problem in recent games, notably at Spurs,but not on Sunday. It’s naive to believe that we can play 105 minutes at Anfield and not come under real pressure. What is remarkable is that we were well in control for the first half and when they did press in the second half our lads defended heroically. Yes, Liverpool had chances but so did we. And when we did concede we have to admit it was to an unbelievable goal. And we came back with a vengeance. Our big players really did stand up and be counted: Erling (“Right Erling, what are you made of?….. Ooooh, sugar and spice and all things nice “ - Ali Mann),Bernado, Semenyo, Rodri. And….Donna, with a save of unrivalled excellence. What are the figures for the number of teams who go into the last 10 minutes at Anfield behind but win the match? Excellent resolute performance.

I see there's more videos re-refereeing the game so that thay can't possibly have lost, penalties and red cards not given, disputing our penalty etc etc.

The real story of the game is that an even worse defeat was avoided by Liverpool unashamedly and undeniably cheating.

Don't mention coffee to my dog ..... I've just tipped half a cup of it over his tail as i reeled backwards and fell over the coffee table in response to the shock news that John Stones was available to play tonight against Fulham ...... the dog gave me a right dirty look, and has now scarpered off upstairs in disgust to hide under the bed !Hmm. Outstanding summary, 100% spot on. It's taking away the spirit of the game, decisions or making decisions that nobody even knew about in the first place. If it's to deal with contentious decisions then fine, but the reverse is happening - it's actually creating them. Penalties given where nobody has appealed and nobody has expected one for example, while others are overturned because a shirt wasn't pulled hard enough. It's not solving anything.I actually like VAR in principle, but it's the implementation that is so poor.
It takes me 10 seconds to rewind SkyQ to watch it again. They obviously have to check more camera angles, so why not give VAR, say, 60 seconds maximum to come up with a firm decision. If they are undecided after that time, the on-field decision stands.
I agree with the decision over the 3-1 goal yesterday, rule-wise, but they'd have a right to complain had they lost both a goal and a player for the same incident.
In spirit, it was obviously bollocks, though.
But why did he have to go over to the monitor and waste the time, anyway? It wasn't as though he'd missed anything. He should just have pulled it back once Erl complicated matters by fouling Szobozlai. The 'suggestion' to check the monitor is surely when VAR feel that there's something he needs to see?
I haven't researched it but I'm sure that VAR delays grow longer every season.
The non-goal summed it up. Not one person would have complained had it been given. The foul was tit for tat anyway, the defender knew that and what made it really farcical was that neither player had even touched the ball. In the end we lost a "goal" and they got a player banned for the next match, so nobody wins.
