This continues to be my position. No shame in falling short with such a young squad at the start of a rebuild (IIRC last season was called off and no football was played). I don't even expect a cup despite being in a final. I think next year we could be fucking frightening though, providing Pep commits for another long stint and we don't go into it either knowing for sure that he's leaving or having no idea if he intends to extend. A season of will he won't he would scupper us.

I think people need to perhaps recognise that as one of the worst collapses of all time rather than hold it up as the standard for what’s possible. 6 points with the head to head game is very achievable, 9 would have been holding out for a miracle time, which is what we got in 2012.

Really don’t think there’s that much difference in terms of the remaining fixtures. Still think they’ll win it, because of the lead they have and the fact they’re more consistent than us, but don’t think we have a tougher run in as such.

I think as we have seen this season, there are no easy games in the premier League now.

If you are not on your game then anything can happen.

Arsenal are more solid at the back than us. They are more compact and take less risks. They are better from set pieces.

What they don’t have is as many potential match winners as we do.

I really do think that we will probably need to win 11 of our last 12 games to be in with a chance. I can’t see that based on the last 6/7 games but where there is hope, there is life.
 
Seems odd that Arsenal play Thursday and we play a day earlier even though we played today and they played yesterday.

That means they have 4 full days off and we only have 2.
 
These are the games up to the LC final. We definitely have easier fixtures. I think we have to close the gap here to stand a chance.

I recall it was roughly around this time a few seasons ago they kept drawing and evemtually threw their lead away after being 2 up against a poor Southampton team. All we have to do is keep winning see what happens

All those games are winnable for both clubs, so I'm not expecting a 'slump' either way.

It's our usual end of season 'who blinks first' competition. They're more likely to get giddy than we are. If Haaland gets scoring again, they'll start to panic.

They got longer breaks over Xmas as well. Must just be the luck of the fixture computer...

On the flip side, if we do our job, they go to Brentford 3 points ahead.

Arsenal have also had so many chances to go well clear or us with our form, and havn't capitalized!

Their manager is a nervous wreck, and is putting pressure on his team. If we wake up and want it like we did today, we will win it!

We have got a free hit on them in the league cup final! They are putting themselves under so much pressure by celebrating ever 3 points, and telling anyone who will listed how good their squad is!

They have got to play us at Wembley and the Ethiad yet!
