Greatest Ever Away Day?

Not the best maybe but one I often think back to was a 4-3 win at QPR in the league cup in 1994.

For me that was what it was all about. You only get the hardcore and loons turning up to an away league cup replay in London on a Wednesday night.

Some standard City stuff going on, 1 down in about 20 seconds, making Danielle Dichio look world class, then deciding we could be arsed after all and turning in a forgotten classic.

Loftus Road is always one of my favourite aways, fond memories of a Bosvelt equaliser when Fulham ground shared too.

Games I was at, in no particular order-

Sick swan
Blackburn
Stoke (Trevor Francis debut)
Bradford
Arsenal (3 1, KDB Jack Erling)
Spurs fa cup 4 3
Lokeren (for the away days not the game)
Newcastle (2 0 Yaya)
Everton (fa cup 1981), nearly shit myself after!
Leeds 2 0 many years ago on Boxing Day (at the time it was the best City away performance I’d seen - Hartford Owen Power midfield)
Didn't go to Everton 81, was at the replay, but was at Peterborough and the Villa Park Semi final, both great days.

That reminds me of West Ham away first game of the season on a scorching hot day in 2007, to see Sven's new team pick up a 2-0 win. That was a cracking day.
was there n all mate, preferred the upton park trips always beltin trip to hammers good relationship with em, similar to us, only one that wasn’t great was match after spurs beat us at home to stop us qualifying for champions league that match became meaningless was supposed to be a party atmosphere tickets were gold dust then they were like confetti haha, but we got on the ale regardless do t recall the score but it’d didn’t matter sadly

Been a long, long time since I was at an "away" game (not counting finals!). For my limited experience it probably has to be Trevor Francis's debut at Stoke in '81. Boiling hot day, and the Victoria Ground was absolutely rammed with blues. Trev scored twice in a 3-1 win. Anyone remember who got our other goal?

Think it was Phil Boyer, wasn't it?

Yeah was at Peterborough (was it a Tommy booth winner iirc?) and the semi (Paul power), also great days indeed. Everton at Goodison was the second most violence I’d seen at a match

Pretty sure it was Phil Boyer, Francis assist

More Blues than sjoke in the ground

For the FOC brigade, I'm a long standing member. 1968 at Newcastle winning the league, over 20000 blues, and 1969 Villa Park semi final win in last minute v Everton.
The away game in the cup against Blackburn rovers. It was 2-4 with franny Lee scoring 2 and maybe Tony Coleman scoring 2.

If my memory is serving me well
