1st October from memory and absolutely roasting. Great Poznan as well. First game after the Tevez / Mancini spat in Munich.

You’re spot on with the date.
That remains the hottest October day in the UK since records began. I arrived at Heathrow that lunchtime on a flight from LA and it was about 10 degrees warmer when I arrived compared to the temperatures I’d been used to for the previous few days.

One I think I've not seen yet in this thread - Anfield May 2003, Anelka's last minute winner after Schmeichel had the game of his life. Went absolutely mental. Away end was rocking even when we were one down. Just remember "We're City, we're balmy, we're off our fucking heads" non-stop.

Huge consequences in hindsight also, caused Liverpool to miss out on CL, Chelsea pipped them, and as a result Abramovich bought them a couple of months later and changed the course of the PL.

Seville Champions league about 9 years ago. Was in that bar the Ultras raided….lucky not to get a bar stool on the back of the bounce but it didn’t dampen the atmosphere. They clapped Sterling off after a brilliant performance.

another great European away trip that was - our group were all camped in the flash hotel next to Betis's ground - a small group of us walked it all the way back from Sevilla's ground, stopping for refreshments via a little corner bar, got back about half one in the morning to an apparently silent hotel only to find a humongous party going on in the hotel bar behind reception - fook knows what time I surfaced...
