Websites are getting more and more selective with what info they share.

When wanting a simple chart with info it was hard to find last season. So I thought this year I’ll create my own.

I’d say it’s 98% reliable ha. I just use live scores . com for the info. It’s all manually done during work so might be the odd error.

Anyway, thought I’d share it for any stats geeks. Enjoy. :-)

Copied from today’s Times :

Streaks no longer once in a blue moon

Manchester City, who beat Nottingham Forest, have produced eight wins in a row in all competitions to little fanfare, such is their dominance of English football. It is their 15th run of eight victories since the Abu Dhabi takeover of the club in 2008, yet they did not achieve this feat a single time between 1928 and 2008.

What do the Times mean by saying “the Abu Dhabi takeover” They can’t help themselves can they? Sheikh Mansour is a human being not a state.

Not specific to just this season, but I just heard a crazy stat on the MCFC Lads podcast. Apparently, we haven't suffered a defeat in our last 55 midweek PL games (home or away). 47 wins and 8 draws. Now, granted; more often than not, most of the midweek games tend to be against the so called lesser teams (TV want the top 6 clashes on a weekend). But, to me, that seems a scarcely believable stat.

Last Monday we lost on:

So it looks like Villa in 2023 was our last midweek defeat. So I make that 18 games, 10 home, 8 away, 14 wins, 4 draws.

This stat just popped up in the stadium, it's the last 55 PL home games.

We've reached our eighth successive FA Cup semi final today. Apparently, no other club has achieved that feat. We just need to improve our record in finals in the competition, which is a bit meh. Won 3, lost 3 since we were founded in 2008. Four of those 6 in the bald frau Pep era.
