Not really, Haaland has to feel like he has some competition surely? Marmoush hasn't grabbed his opportunity yet but the point I was making was more about Haaland getting back to his best (which the signs are good) or as has been seen recently, Marmoush will get a game. Nothing controversial.
Thankfully the big man has woken from his Xmas slumber and I couldn't be happier.

I’d want that to happen to keep the big man on his toes but with the wages he is on and the profile of the man I just don’t think it’s going to happen.

It would destabilise the team and not so much from the inside but it will be a narrative. Remember when Pe benched Aguero?

Saying that I don’t disagree cos I truly think Haalnds all round game has been poor the last two months.

I add to the fact what others have said he just does everything so rushed. He has quality but his actual physical movement looks really janky which in turn affects his touches, getting angles and striking the ball. He looks like someone who bloomed pretty late.

Saying that Salah has really janky movement and he is in the top 5 players to play PL.

Probs should have done more scouting at Frankfurt when we got him and gone for Ekitike in hindsite. Would love if pep swapped Marmoush and Semenyos roles around to see how he could operate more central but alas I just don’t think he has the defensive and pressing work rate

Not sure as others have said, that he has the physical attributes to succeed in the PL. Too easy to knock off the ball. Does greats runs and can bag a goal but if we moved him on in the summer I would not be upset. Having said that, how do you sign a player to support/ back up Erl and sell it to them? I don’t know enough about potential younger players etc.. that could replace him if we were to move him on

Hes paid his transfer fee in massively contributing to our UCL qualification last season.Decent player now 27 who i would take our money back if offered. Semenyo can cover for injuries

I think we are judging him too harshly, there has been quite a few times he has been in and not been picked out with the final pass.

Foden was a big culprit against Fulham. Both times Marmoush was in and both times he never played him in.

Good game today.. shoulda had 2 goals but 1 was ruled out for corruption.. the other called an own goal.

He's far from "useless/ should be sold fodder"

In fact City should submit that 2nd goal of his for the Puskas.. won't find many better nominees!

I thought it was a typical Marmoush performance. Ran around a lot. Very little quality. Random worldy (didn’t count). He is pure chaos, sometimes I’m a good way, mostly in a bad way. He needs to do more.

AFCON has done him a world of good.. get him in form after he was injured for months.

He's a proper false 9 striker and we should be doing a Haaland Marmoush Semenyo front three a lot more than we do.

If you think he's chaos for us.. imagine how insane it drives opposing defenders.. it's impossible to keep track of him.

He can improve on his offside technique though!

I watched his first few games and came to that conclusion myself, and apart from a few great goals, I've still not seen an overall game which is anywhere near the level required to be here, not even as a squad played, as I dont think he is tough enough

Indeed. Also some here saying he needs on his offside movement. He just never gets the ball or they play the ball too late. When you look at Frankfurt he got the ball very often. In our system we always try not to play that all beside Cherki.

Generally I think in a 2 striker system he would score his 20 in the league but we don’t play that one.
