Think Wimbledon is the only live sport left on the bbc now
They can't compete for TV rights now.

They will only have the Olympics, World Cup and Euros soon and that's only because they are protected under law.

Radio rights will go soon. Talkshite quietly hoovering them up. Exclusive deal with the EFL. I expect full PL rights will follow.

Thing is, if they offered billions for the PL and the licence fee went up by £20, there’d be uproar!!

Seems to have full coverage for the winter Olympics but for the last 2/3 summer games, a lot of content has been fked off behind a paywall on discovery.

Qualifiers for England might be protected but I don't think the other Nations' are.

People have been saying the beeb should be fked off and there is a fk ton wrong with it. The vile partisan football coverage in particular, and yet in both types of Olympics, there is some great coverage.

Sadly football relies on Murphy/keown/warnock levels of inane drivel.

They were - the IOC sold the rights to the European Broadcasting Union Discovery for several games. This round of the deal has only just started - lasts up to 2032.

As far as I recall, the buyers cut a deal with the BBC for two channels when it was pointed out that UK law requires free-to-air broadcast. Better to have something from the UK than none, and keep sponsors happy. I think the BBC deal is well below the going rate.

The BBC have no idea! There have been 7 games today, 3 of which have been shown live on one platform or another. As I am sat here watching MotD they are showing their third game, it is the Liverpool game, this is the 2nd game that has been shown live on TV earlier today out of the 3. Why not show all the 3pm games first? Only game so far, the Mansfield win. It makes no sense!

The BBC bollox is red cartel rubbish. Watch the coverage on MOTD of the Dipper game and no issue at all with the Salah push and then penalty - all loving the cheating twat. I wouldn't give a toss if the Beeb shutdown tomorrow, £15 a month to spend on something worth watching.

Babestation ?? !!

It's amazing the BBC can do sport (Wimbledon, fa cup, world cup, six nations etc.) + drama + news+ radio. All for £15 a month

I still dont understand how its legal that I have to pay the bbc not to watch bbc.

If I watch live TV on sky, tnt, itv, channel 4 or 5 etc I still have to play the bbc. I dont play for sky, tnt so I can't watch, why can't I do the same for the bbc ? I dont watch bbc so why the fuck should I have to pay them to watch a rival channel ?

The way the bbc treat City it pisses me off

The bbc allow lies and hatred to be posted on nearly every City articles on the web site. It clearly has a racist undertone.

Just been on bbc to read the comments after the game. Shocking how many think Salford is in the City of Manchester lol

If the content is that good why do they enforce the licence fee with the threat of prosecution for non payment? Anyone is welcome to pay the licence fee but their output is bobbins and their sports department really, really dislike our club.

What about the wizzing down hill on a tea tray and sliding blocks along the ice into a circle? Don’t get me started on the cool kids on their snowboards with their goofy stance and melon and tail grabs currently showing at the Winter Olympics.

Surely these are live sports for the masses from Miles platting, Newton Heath and Moss Side.

OK - I get your point :)
When you take a step back on the above, are there any more upper class 'sporting' events than these?

Surely anyone that actually tried out for the tea tray thing automatically makes Team GB on numbers alone.............

Oh, it certainly does make sense.
The Dippers "are back" (which other club is also always being resurrected by the BBC ?), with Supah-Salah back to his scintillating best.
The BBC's football pecking order probably has City in 7th place, behind Tottenham...
