General Videogame Thread

Following this as I bought yesterday and am having the same experience.
It is a steep learning curve I’m only level 30 now! Solo most people don’t shoot you there is the odd one, when you first spawn in look for the nearest exit, loot everything and get out, rinse and repeat. If you can level your bird as well it helps to gather resources. I use YouTube to help find things as well.

Just bought it and really struggling with it. Feels like I get killed so easily. Does anyone have any tips for new players?
Do a few rounds on the practice ground, test a few different weapon set ups and some evasion moves..rolls etc.

Load into a couple of maps with the free load out to get used to pvp

Don’t actively engage ARC…and never without good cover of a building

Never take your best gear on missions until you can easily replace it……either by crafting or buying

Decide and mark your exfil point as soon as you load into a map…..knowing which way to crawl if you’re downed might help you make it back

If you can do the special events on maps when up you will get better drops as well but they are harder.

Where do you even put something like this....hardly worth a standalone thread, here's a guy that's killed his ex and is crying over missing GTA 6

Unbelievable what goes through some peoples mind.
He will probably get it on release in jail.im only half joking btw

Playing through Cyberpunk 2077 for the first time on Switch 2.

Not usually my type of game but I'm really enjoying it.

Characters and story are top notch and the gameplay is excellent as well.

I'm a sucker for that future dark punk look - i.e. Blade Runner, so that helps me enjoy it even more.

It's a superb game, reputation hampered only due to the technical bugs from a rushed release.

Since then it's been polished, added DLC (Phantom Liberty) and they keep working on adding new things to it. In my top ten favourites.

Wo long is fantastic, it's basically the sekiro of the nioh franchise with an emphasis on parrying. Moved on to lies of P now. Feel like it was a mistake though as it is so clunky and sluggish in comparison, probably should have played something different to lose the muscle memory of wo long first.

Arc raiders you bastard, I was playing nice and someone near me got ambushed so I hid, anyway two players turned up and start following me, luckily I had blue LMG, had no idea if it was any good, it absolutely blew them away, but now evey game I’m in a lobby with people killing me! I only got them as it looked like they were going to kill me after the last guy. Anyway got some decent gear off them, just using freeload out now until it bumps me back down, hopefully.

Star wars outlaws.
Loving it at the moment.
Apparently when it first came out it got slated for having too much stealth game play and the ai was brutal, but a new patch has ironed out the creases and you don't have to sneek around as much, you can blast your way out now!

i bought this fo my son, he's played it once. I will get him on the game again!

I do get it, it’s pvp mainly but if this carries on it will just mean I’ll open up on everyone all the time or just use freeloadouts which are crap for pvp. I’m trying to do the new pve event as much as possible I’m halfway there and going to hammer it this week hopefully

Hideki Sato dubbed "The father of Sega" passed away yesterday. He was the chief designer of all Sega's consoles from The Master System to the Dreamcast.

He was also heavily involved in the Arcade side helping produce classics like Space Harrier, Outrun and After Burner to name but a few. Apparently at Sega's peak he was working 16 hour days on multiple projects at a time.

An absolute giant in the video game industry and gave me so wonderful gaming memories in the late 80's-90's

RIP Hideki

I loved space harrier and afterburner, great arcade games, spent a fortune on them in my trips to Blackpool and Eastbourne.
