Expecting a decent review from those on here at the O2 Arena tonight

I'd say it might be my last time watching Morrissey. I would probably go again in the north west/Yorkshire but I don't think I would travel to watch him again because it's just not going to get any better than what I've seen in the past.Expecting a decent review from those on here at the O2 Arena tonight

I could point towards the setlist featuring too many new songs (which are fucking shite and long), some of the bollocks he says between tracks, how much you're paying for about an hour and 20 of music, how he cannot quite deliver the old Smiths songs in the same way, but for me the crowd absolutely ruins it for me.
I get that so many people there would have been following him for years and are 60+ but it's like there's an agreement that everyone will stand perfectly still and gorp at him on stage, it's not like any other gig I've ever been to where it's fully standing and there's nobody jumping/raising their hands/clapping during songs. It's been like this for a few years now and I just don't get it, it doesn't feel like anyone is enjoying themselves. Genuinely would have a much better and cheaper night going to the Star and Garter this Friday.
Yeah, not sure purely an age either. It plays a role, but plenty of 60+ in the sell out crowd at The Stranglers gig at the Apollo last year, and that was pretty lively throughout I reckon. It’s an odd one isn’t it. It is an age thing though. I’ve been to Morrissey gigs where the place was bouncing but those days are long gone. The unsigned tour in 2002 was brilliant.
I thought it was solid in parts but like you said, for me, the new songs are shite.
I won’t travel again but like you would probably go if on the doorstep.
Bunnymen on Friday at the Parr Hall which was half the price. Setlist all classics with no new songs and at the warm up the other night; the band paid for a pint for everyone!

Christopher from The Soprano's.
Sing me to sleep with da fishesChristopher from The Soprano's.
The gigs in the States tend to be a bit more of a riotous affair especially towards the end of the night when the stage invasions start - especially with a good Hispanic crowd towards the front. It’s an odd one isn’t it. Will we ever see Bonfire released?Despite the singles being shite, the rest of the album is pretty good I think
