Jim Ratcliffe - claims the UK is being “colonised”

Dont know what it is about anti vaxers that make them think that not only should they not get a vaccine but they need to tell everyone about it on a daily basis.

People have eother had the covid vaccine or they havent. Theres not a lot we can do about now.

Hopefully there will be a time when people shut the fuck up about it.

The easy question is to ask him what he disagrees with from Enoch’s speech.
I'm not sure easy is the right word, beyond the oft quoted "rivers of blood" I've no idea what the content of that speech was, and I suspect neither do you, but I'm sure Google will be your friend once again, either ways it has no more relevance to what's happening now than the Limehouse Declaration, or the League of Empire Loyalists, you can look them up as well.

One thing that completely blows my mind about Powell is the fact that the people of Wolverhampton elected a Tory MP!

The essential thing is that, whatever Powell really thought, his stated fears were misplaced. Integration is working fine and the only people talking about "rivers of blood" are people who don't like foreigners. In the present case, talking about our being "colonised" is simply daft, politically and linguistically.

I guess this is better than the white flight guff.
This country doesn't mirror the USA or South Africa in this regard, and that's a good thing, but where I live in West Yorkshire it is a thing, the open racism even in casual conversation I found shocking having lived in London for so many years, the well heeled areas, the likes of Ilkley and Harrogate are very white and the likes of Mannigham in Bradford very Asian, but even here it's more nuanced, there's a social/economic angle to it. Eastern European migrants are to be found in Halifax's Asian area, their shops and churches, social clubs and whatnot and of course students live wherever they can find cheap lodgings, schools of course are a great melting pot. It's to be hoped that given a generation or so even West Yorkshire, which has a lot to recommend it by the way, might enter the 21st century.

So you spent all of yesterday outraged that I compared your rhetoric and language to Powell because it was a ridiculous comparison, and today you've woken up and say you've actually got no idea what he thought and have never read anything he said. You're still 100% sure it's not relevant though, despite not knowing anything about it.

Brilliant.
