1 | James Trafford - 2025/26

For me Trafford is first choice GK. Even ahead of Donnarumma. That's my humble opinion. City will regret if let him go.

Trafford would have been probably the perfect keeper once our midfield would be rebuilt.

But after these comments.. Trafford likely seems done here.. no way.. Pep usually doesn't keep the who aren't happy around. So just like Cancelo.. he'll likely be gone if we get an offer.

It hasn’t worked for Bernardo. He’s want to leave for 5 or 6 years!
 
All that Trafford has done is give the scum bags in the media a headline to regurgitate ad nauseam for the next 6 months (or until the summer transfer window ends at least).

Silly boy - it will now unhelpfully follow him and the team every time he sets foot on the pitch (including in the next cup final) and all that does is create unhelpful distraction for him and his team mates

Personally I wouldnt care if Pep now dropped him from the cup final (he wont).

Trafford needs to learn his place...regardless of his potential or whether he is good enough to play ahead of Donarumma. He is young and should realise how lucky he is to be playing an important part in a teams/clubs fight for trophies at what is a very young age for a goalkeeper...and that he is trusted to do so by possibly the best manager that has ever been....maybe he should think about repaying that trust before talking to the media!
 
He should have kept his mouth shut. Tell the club what he thinks, but not in public. When you are a keeper there can normally only be one, but he's actually been getting first team game time so his public blubbing is disappointing. Donnarumma has so much more experience than him. Trafford is only 23 and he could be playing for another 15 years - patience is a virtue. If he's not happy, he can go if we get a bid of £40-50m minimum. If he is happy to fight for his place then I am happy to keep him.
 
It's interesting to me how this works. When some players go crying to the press and air their problems with the management/club there's often loads of fans lighting the torches and sharpening the pitchforks to chase them out of town.

When others do it, they get so much sympathy about how they have been "done wrong" and how their "mental health must be suffering."

I think any player, regardless of who it is who's willing to go to the press when we are entering the most important part of the season to complain about their own situation is either being badly advised or very selfish.
No good comes from it.
