Jim Ratcliffe - claims the UK is being “colonised”

Well you’ve added a great deal to the debate.
Thank you kindly, I just realised I was disagreeing with someone who I'm pretty certain had pretty much the same view of what makes someone a bit of a ****.
On that basis it really wasnt worth our time continuing with it.
The only other thing I would say after spending many many years on here is I would never have believed anyone would insinuate(not you) that Fumble is a racist and we never ever agreed on much at all.

Have a good day whatever time it is where you are(I forget)

I don’t think Fumble is a racist in the slightest.

All people should be treated equally, a person should be judged on the content of their character, but the cult of DEI and multiculturalism requires one to treat all cultures equally and that is something that in real life next to nobody does.

The left acknowledges this, hence the likes of black history month where we're all supposed to pretend that the Benin Bronzes are the equivalent of the Renaissance.

No it doesn’t! Only in its most extreme form which as you say nobody does, so it’s a meaningless definition.

I know thats why I said not you, it's a shame the avenues we get dragged down on here. Tis what it is.
I think where fumble currently resides is a big factor in their current views. There's no doubting that West Yorkshire has a problem with the immigration situation and spending time there in the past, notably Bradford, it's understandable why he has concerns.
It's easy to mock when you're not seeing it in everyday life so I suppose every post should be judged on the posters lived experience.

What problems with immigration does West Yorkshire have?

I think certain parts, manningham for sure, have had issues for a long time. The Asian community in that area have rarely integrated and it can be a pretty dangerous place for those who are unfamiliar with it.
If you disagree and have experience different to mine then I'm all ears.

I've walked into white estates and had a beating. Some people can be very tribal. Is that related to immigration or just some rough estates?

I believe, but can't say for absolute certain that in the case of Manningham that immigration is one of the issues. Not recent immigration mind, that estate has been a tinderbox for 30+ years.

I remember when I moved to Christchurch from Bournemouth and had just started a new job. Went out on a works do so didn't drive so got a bit popped up. Anyway night over I had no idea what bus would take me home so started walking as it was a lovely mild night. It was about 6 - 7 miles but I did it ok. On Monday in the office I was asked did I get home ok and I said yeah I walked it - helped walk off the beer. They were all agog - "you walked through Boscombe on your own at night????" Honestly anyone who has been there will know its not the Bronx and to this day I have no idea what should have concerned me.

Growing up in Whythenshawe, I remember having to avoid certain estates so we'd have to walk the long way home..to get attacked by gangs of dogs!
