Fan channels

I watch Premier League Fan Reactions when either the rags / Liverpool or Arse lose.

Everything is all
"Hi guys, what a goal guys, did you see that guys?"
or
"I told you, I told you, what did I say about (insert name), what did I say about..."
or
"Bro" at the end of each sentence
or the even more annoying "
OH MY DAYS!" - where the fuck did that phrase come from for them all to be saying it yet I've never heard anyone else ever say it.

We have quite a few but only real ones I watch are from people who actually go games , i know every one can't afford it but some of them dotn bother at all like Forest Brent over at United

City ones ill watch, Big Steve, Mcfc lads (sometimes) and Martin
United -Saeed and Nurradin, both go OT and I used to work with them both on Doors

I won't do watchalongs, go to the game ffs

Saeed is hilarious I go straight to his channel after the rags lose his rants are great. Seems like a nice fella aswell.

Goldbridge is actually not permitted to go to Old Trafford because his fellow fans would fill him in lol. The proper match going reds know what he's all about and don't like him one bit.

Whenever one of the shitcunt clubs has had a poor result I'll have a watch of the compilation one that gets posted on here but I'd never in a million years dream of searching them out. Shower of cunts being watched by a shower of even bigger cunts.

I have no interest in anyones opinion regardless of the subject.
I'll sometimes watch prime mutton because he goes to the football, drinks ale and eats food and I like to live my life vicariously through him.

Yeah Saeed top guy, Goldbridge knows they'll cave his head in as he's an ex copper, brummie Forest fan making a living off United name.

I run one and I have for a long time. I also personally don't even like the idea of a fan channel either lol. I totally get why they irritate people as a lot of them are performative and I do believe the intention behind some of them is attention seeking or opportunistic. Not all, but some. You can usually tell quite easily.

I dont expect anyone to believe me, but for me it's genuinely just the case that I enjoy chatting to people and about things I love, and I enjoy creating things. I've been like that since I was a kid. It's a compulsion. I'm an incredibly sociable person and I find chatting about City on videos an awful lot of fun. It's something that comes natural to me.

I'm of course biased, but I do think there's value in them to an extent. We're all incredibly busy and it's nice to have someone chat City that you like listening to. A sort of parasocial relationship, but that's 2026. I think overseas fans are less likely to have fellow city supporting mates too so it helps them feel a little more informed. I think the appeal is that we're inherently social creatures and these fan channels fill a tiny gap for some people. It is what it is.

Ultimately, as with anything, there are good examples and there are bad examples of these things. I tend to feel we should just let people enjoy what they like and not worry about it. we all like different things.

I still remember reading the old blog and getting very excited the week you reported on Brahim having his first academy game after 2 years not being allowed to play in official games. That must have been 2014? 2015?

It’s always been clear you’re doing it for the love of City and football and you put in a ridiculous amount of time and effort before turning it into a career.

His biryani rant was too viewing, as was the Flying Pig bloke smashing his plate and getting bollocked by his wife.

Does anyone listen to any of the podcasts on City?

I quite like The City Ramble, normally listen to it on the walk to the train station and it passes the time

Thanks mate. Hugely appreciated, and the truth! I genuinely just enjoy chatting football. The academy blog was a passion of mine that I had zero intention of leading anywhere, but it ended up turning into something a lot bigger. Never planned, but a happy coincidence.

And as for Brahim, yep, it was against Rhyl in Wales playing for the u15s. A friendly that then lead into the competitive season. I was there and wrote this about it:

In Esteemed Kompany: Rhyl FC 0 - 1 MCFC u18s https://share.google/CLNfQiU2suMgQBEiK

I miss writing to be honest. One day I'll get back to watching academy football, but starting a family has parked that for now.

I often watch these , but I rarely see any MCFC Chanel’s , Im only aware of one on Tik tok , Steve i think, and he is always respectful and quite measured in what he says.
Anyway what I want to say is Im pleased we don’t have the social media presence (or am I wrong?)
These “entitled” fans with anger issues smashing up their bedroom studios really entertain me , so Im so happy I never see blues doing it.
Our silence is quite refreshing
Unsure of your age group.
But it's a different world we live in now.
People are happy to send money to a watch a long youtuber than get a firestick and watch the match.
Am 57 years old and it puzzles me.
