The British Monarchy | Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor arrested for misconduct in public office

I’m not a “big fan of the Royals”. I just don’t want us to be a Republic (could you imagine a President Boris?) and therefore want to keep the Monarchy. I couldn’t care less about the hangers on in the family, in fact I’d trim down the Royal Family to as little as possible. The celebrity aspect of it is something I don’t like.

Regarding the Queen “paying £12m to cover up Andrew’s noncing”, well, it looks to be almost half that figure, and it was a settlement paid to the victim. She provided legal support out of her private money to her son, when she was in her 90s, she also stripped him of titles and effectively started the beginning of the end of him being a Royal.

The Queen was a magnificent woman generally, not perfect and I think given her age, it’s incredibly harsh to lay blame at her doorstep for what her son did.

He deserves the worst possible punishment for what he’s done and the blame lies with him.

She was the descendent of a German Family ... married to a Greek ... who allowed an American to become Prime Minister

She’s mostly English and Scottish, with German, Greek etc.

We allowed a half American to be Prime Minister in 1940, worked out well wouldn’t you agree?

And where does money from the Duchy of Lancaster come from?
This took me a 1 minute google search:
  • Farm rents — tenant farmers pay to use Duchy-owned agricultural land
  • Commercial property rents — businesses pay rent for offices, shops, and retail spaces
  • Residential property rents — tenants pay to live in Duchy-owned houses and flats
  • Investment income — returns from stocks, bonds, and investment funds
  • Forestry income — selling timber and leasing woodland
  • Land leasing — charging for use of land for utilities, infrastructure, or development
  • Mineral and natural resource rights — income from things like quarrying or extraction rights
  • Renewable energy leases — leasing land for solar panels, wind turbines, etc.
  • Tourism and heritage use — fees from visitors, events, or filming on Duchy property

How did she earn that private money of hers? 9-5? Shifts?

Just a gentle reminder that they '' claim'' to own the land under the sea .. and therefore charge the UK population a rental fee should we want to site wind turbines out at sea
