Arsenal Thread | 2025/26

Jim, like I said above, it wasn't a concussion sub, we had a sub window still to use.
I respectfully suggest that you go back and read your fellow "gooner's" post that that post of mine replied to....

"will see if he plays vs Sp*rs at the weekend. If he does then feel free to call us cheating cunts."

So; if you want to pull anyone up on their post, go and talk to him.

By the way, I dislike the diving, the feigning of injuries etc.

I just wanted to point out that the Trossard sub wasn't a concussion sub. We had only used 3 subs in 2 sub windows before, so don't believe everything you read on social media.

There are also stills where he looks like he takes a shoulder to the jaw. How much impact that has I don't know, but because others go down with head injuries too easy, I don't blame others for having a go.

Glancing blow.

No worries Jim. I could totally understand that point of view when people were taking it as gospel that Arsenal had manipulated that situation to make a 'concussion sub' to allow them to make a an extra defensive substitution, I just wanted to point out that wasn't the case.

But listen, I was watching that game shouting at my own players to get up and just actually play some feckin passes, so can totally understand everyone else's frustration.

Sometimes that's all it takes on the jaw. Like I said, I'm not going to judge the actual impact, just wanted to point out on this occasion that there seems there was some at least.

He'd come on like a few minutes earlier only be be 'injured enough' to have to come off for Calafiori, after having used up a couple of minutes of time.

If somehow he's fit enough to play tomorrow then I'm sorry but I'll be done with Mikel as that's cheating plain and simple, but by feigning serious injury which makes it particularly despicable.

I get delays on corners and that stuff - everyone is doing it to a degree. But faking an injury to the extent it needs a couple minutes 'treatment' and then the sub of someone who just came on, all against a generationally shit Wolves team, well fuck that shit.

Just had a look at the W.olves thread on that Arsenal Mania forum. If you think our Matchday forums are bad you need to look at theirs. Fucking hell. People giving up on the title, wanting Arteta sacked - you'd need er think they were still ahead on points.

He came on in the 73rd minute for Saka. The fact that he's subbed a sub to me suggests that it's not about faking an injury, I'd want to keep my fresher players on in that situation and take off someone that's played 93 mins like a Martinelli (who had been utter shite by the way) but perhaps that's just me.

Sounds exactly the same as here then, people gave up on the title after 3 games on here, many people want/wanted pep sacked as recently as the last month or so.
Basically football fans are idiots.

And, amazingly, limpalong is also fit for this weekend. Lazarus indeed.

He did and it was on sky sports yellow ticker for the next 24 hours. Never mentioned when Raya does it.
The media also never ask Arteta how the quad is going either. No pressure put on them, but when us or the dippers previous seasons going for multiple trophies were asked all the time.

Bet you they won’t
Oh they will;

1) It's Spurs
2) They always up their game against the Spuds for some reason
3) It's Spurs
4) Spurs are down at the bottom for a reason, it wasn't all Thomas Frank
5) It's Spurs
6) Spurs won't exactly care about doing us a favour. Their fans will be up for it, the players don't care.
7) Most importantly of all....it's Spurs.
