I'm sure that if you hand that new" green card" its a completely different situation.
Having said that , no one seems to be clear if the green cards were handed to the ref.

Saka used to be the worst for diving and feigning injury. Maybe still is, I don't watch them, even highlights.

Their highlights are usually just the corners and team talks during a tactical injury break. You're not really missing much.

Thats what I thought at the time but it was mentinoned afterwards that we didn't use that rule and that it was just a normal substitution.
All very grey , needs to be more clear like in rugby.
I was watchching a programme on tv in on the last week or so about GordonMcQueen and how there was a new " protocol" put in place that ensured a footballer taken off for " suspected " concussion would have to checked daily for at least 6 days before playing again, they couldn't even train.

This feels like last chance saloon for Arteta so no surprise he's willing to do anything to win. None of the fans will care either if it finally gets them another PL (and they're still in all comps, with a very good set up for the CL).

Remember that in the post-invincible Wenger era, for a period Arsenal were the poster childs for pretty but ineffective football. They were always mocked for trying to play football 'the right way' whilst Chelsea and the rags (and later us) hoovered up the trophies. Plenty of their fans then were crying out for a bit of pragmatism.

The problem of course is if you don't win you really have nothing. A turgid and cynical team that's boring as fuck for 90 minutes twice a week in the hope of finally bringing glory at the very end, when the most dominant team of the modern era, and the other one that wasn't as good but still won a few cups, both played football that was worth watching.

Ultimately Arteta is just a bit limited as a coach, and even though I'm still leaning towards them finally getting it over the line this year in the PL, it will say a lot more about the quality of their direct competition than it will of them.

Prime City or prime Liverpool and they dont get anywhere near he fails this season and he should walk ............ i fooking hope so as well they are so crap to watch

I've had Toon fans come up to us outside St. James' after we've hammered them for a quick chat about the game then wish us good luck for the rest of the season.

Generally think Geordies are one of the soundest set of fans excluding the nobhead with the podcast.

yeah you can pretend you've got concussion on the field, then pass the extra test at the end of the match and be signed off to play the next game. I suspect nobody thought any teams would abuse something as serious as concussion. Arsenal thought otherwise.

I’ve been genuinely surprised at the level of hate everyone seems to have towards Arsenal. They’re going up against us, ‘serial cheats’, ‘115 charges’, ‘Oil Money FC’ the club that buys referees and yet, everyone you meet wants us to win it over them. The rags, Littlewoods, cheating Arsenal, Spurs and dirty Leeds all rank well above any other club in the "despise them" list.
