Arsenal Thread | 2025/26

As bad as Spurs are they'll be right up for this, especially with the new manager. The only issue they'll have is keeping 11 men on the pitch as the Arsenal players will make anything of 'robust' challenges. However it's a big test for Arsenal as if they don't get 3 points the questions about their mentality will be bigger - the furore after the 2-2 with Wolves was a wee bit hysterical and over the top. However, I have watched some of the Arsenal fans reactions after that result and they do bring some of it on themselves - but they do get more hits the more upset they get.

We'll see how it goes. Got to pull my Forest top on first though.

I’ve been genuinely surprised at the level of hate everyone seems to have towards Arsenal. They’re going up against us, ‘serial cheats’, ‘115 charges’, ‘Oil Money FC’ the club that buys referees and yet, everyone you meet wants us to win it over them. It’s really quite an accomplishment for a fan base to make themselves so despised.
Saw a show with Goldbridge, Robbie and a good few of those " fanzine" lads
They were asked who did they prefer to win the PL and 8 went for us, 2 for arsenal ( Robbie and Goldbridge)
Now they may have been poking a bit of fun at the 2 arsenal voters but they did say that arteta was intolerable and the supporters were the most obnoxious in the PL.

Prepare yourselves for a prolonged Sky wankfest if Arsenal win

“Answered all the critics”
“Mentality of champions”
“Came in to the lions den and performed like warriors”
“City couldn’t win here”

It won’t change the fact that there’s a long way to go and the cracks are already starting to appear

Yep if spurs had a fully fit side then I’d give them a chance of getting something you look who they have left to play, if Arsenal don’t get a win then they are truly lost it!

I’ve just seen this on the BBC’s HYS for the piece about Pep giving the players three days off:

I think most fans recognise, even a large portion of Arsenal fans, how this is likely to pan out and despite being well below past levels, this City team are still better than Arsenal, certainly in an attacking and footballing ethos perspective. Arteta has been given whatever tools he wanted during his fruitless tenure, backed by big investment, only to play like stoke. Doesn't deserve success
"
True…Arsenal are not backed by a Middle Eastern country. They also don’t have a bajillion cases to answer with the FA.

I asked, in reply, So, where is Emirates Airlines from?

When they beat this injury prone relegation threaten spurs team it will be announced as a big mentality win and Arsenal can handle the pressure sorry this spurs side the players they only have left fit! This Arsenal side should be racking up 4+ goals they are wank!

I fancy that city side playing Arsenal today then the spurs team today in getting something

Yeah fuck off Arteta. That actually makes me feel pretty bad.View attachment 184508
You’re finally seeing what the rest of us have been telling you for years.

Your manager is an absolute despicable person. He lost me when he was smirking telling reporters that the reason for Thomas Parteys absence for away matches in Europe were due to minor knocks and of course he wouldn’t go into detail about what they actually were.

I don’t even have much hate towards your club but the thought of your manager winning something of note is sickening.
