@matchdaybus - just for info, none of the senior bus passes were scanned tonight on bus8. The folk were just waved on. From your point of view, it might look as if the bus wasn’t full. It was rammed & some had to stand.
Why can’t bus-pass passengers be issued with a receipt - hopefully a return - so there would be no issue being allowed on the bus coming back?

The No 10 bus tonight was an interesting experience.

Missed the Mancunian Way and started heading towards Stockport, then three U-turns required later in the journey.

Thanks for letting me know, it’s just the way the machines work unfortunately but I fully understand your view point on this and your worry about it getting to the point where it is to full. For your peace of mind, we do keep our eye on the numbers and would step in to make changes as soon as we feel like anyone would get left behind.

That does seem like an interesting experience, I’ll look into what’s gone on there.

Don't use these buses myself but I have a look at the thread now and again.
This 'matchdaybus' person seems to be on it a lot offering good advice and trys to sort problems out that some people have with the buses.
I'm guessing they're not getting paid for their advice and help so fair play to them.

Re the No. 10.
The normal guy was ill, the driver was standing in for him.
Getting lost just made it more fun and miles better than a wet walk into town to catch a rammed tram :-)

Don't be too hard on him
I did wonder as the 10 driver has always been pretty on the ball, makes more sense now!

We identified a few errors on the timetables shown on the website, but these have now been corrected. Could you please take a moment to double check tonight’s timetables to make sure you have the correct times? Apologies for any confusion caused. https://tfgm.com/man-city/bus-network
This serious miscommunication resulted in me having to snatch a crafty pint to shelter from the rain … be an absolute travesty if it happened on a regular basis :)

This is the one I'll be on next season with my oldy pass!

I am really sorry about this. I will have a look at the timetable for this for future fixtures, there is an event at co op tonight as well which wont have helped, the traffic is really bad around the ground. Apologies again for your experience.
I mentioned it a few months ago n’all. When it used to leave an hour before kick off, it was ideal. Last night I didn’t get to my seat until 5 minutes into the game, but it’s not the first time the 45 minute leave time has made it a real rush to make it for kick off or miss kick off.

Also, if possible, can the route be looked at?

This may already have been considered, but at the moment it goes down Great Ancoats Street all the way down to Every Street and then gets stuck in traffic up Every Street due to the traffic lights joining back up with Pollard Street (pink route).

Could it be considered that the route be amended to turn left down Pollard Street instead of Every Street (blue route)?

I don’t know if Pollard Street can take buses or not, or whether the lights at that junction filter for Every Street better, but I thought it might be worth a suggestion. At the very least it would take out the extra bit of Great Ancoats Street from Pollard Street to Every Street.

Thanks for the suggestion of the route, I will put it forward and see if it can be used. There’s a few bits that need looking at based on feedback from here and some emails Iv received so when I’m in work tomorrow I’ll go through everything and see what can be done and let you know as soon as possible. Hope that’s ok.
