Media discussion - 2025/26

It is all orchestrated to put pressure on refs in our games.
As simple as that.
Sky and Gary Neville sounded sick to the pit of the stomachs yesterday after Spurs had levelled, but soon cheered up as Arsenal ran away with the game.

This is what we are up against, and it sickens me how they get away with hating our club so blatantly without a hint of a reprimand
Agreed. We won't get any marginal decisions now. I ditched Sky last year as it was odious and obvious what they want. Not us.

Well done Arsenal.
Sky Sports have called it. You are champions according to a graph they've just put up.
All I seem to be hearing is what a statement win that was for the Tarqs yesterday. It's like the game at Anfield has been airbrushed from history. It's almost like the media want Arsenal to win the title. I know; where on earth did I get such a radical idea from?

Yep.

Clinton Morrison saying it was a big win for Arsenal against a top six side...

Sorry if its been mentioned but just had a quick look on Sly Sports and seen "Manchester City escape Red Card AGAIN" on the ref watch article. Looked at it and its a full list of seasons gone by where we've been lucky to get away with things. I've never ever seen that done to another club. How is that even allowed when you know it puts pressure on referees when they see it? You read down and no other team is mentioned. Nothing about Dan Burn escaping another yellow card, Gabriel diving for Kolo Muani's goal and his blatant pulling when Kolo Muani's through on goal. Honestly, I love how it does seem everyone is against us at times but when the main broadcaster of football in this country is pushing an agenda that we've got away with things, you have to wonder if its just bent at the end of the day. This isn't even factoring the amount of things we've had go against us this season that we could have a full, hour-long documentary about but fortunately we aren't Arsenal fans.
Media doing their bit to make sure we get fuck all decisions in the run in

Recent football media headlines;

Peps last season
115 charges
Barcelona and Real Madrid make enquiries about Rodri
PSG interested in signing Haaland
City escape yet another red card, and here are the examples so far this season.

It's tantamount to a fucking witch hunt and why?
Because we are involved in a 2 horse race for the title at this moment in time.
They say they want title races as it is important for their product, but are obviously lying.
They only want title races that don't involve Manchester City.
I have never in my life known a club in English football treated as bad as we are by the media.
It fucks me off massively but seems there's nothing we can do about it, unless the club can.
But i won't hold my breath

I’d much rather it this way. Couldn’t stand them licking our arse like they did with United. Keep the piss boiling.

Plenty of tears from the toon about the offside push.
But no mention, anywhere, that he had chosen to stand in an offside position and then was suddenly trying to barge his way back on, Dias just resisted that, the faux outrage is just shite, but no more than we expect every week...

Wasn't that bothered about the cup game. I am now.

Pep uses the hatred every season to galvanise the players and all the backroom staff. There is a siege mentality and it always helps us over the line.

Are United on TV again tonight by any chance?

Even though United have been utterly shit this season, bar the last 5 games, they’ve been on TV almost every week.
To offset the loss of European football money. Broadcasters got to keep their golden goose alive.

Short memories as it was only the other week that Semenyos goal was ruled out from Haaland being fouled in an offside position.
5 minute VAR shambles. Brushed under tbe carpet and never mentioned again
Presumably no tears at all about Elanga being clearly offside for the Newcastle equaliser?

Good job they went out of both cups early and werent in Europe, otherwise theyd be on TV more than Bradley Walsh.
